I was wanting info on what the differences between the 1989 Civic and 1988 Civic Sedans. I know there is a difference with the rear LCA's and I am pretty sure with the seat mounts. Does anyone have any info on any other differences? I am thinking about purchasing a donor car and I found a 89 but i want to make sure that for the most part the car is the same as my 88.[/quote]

There was a bunch of differences, but most of them don't really matter. The rear control arm one gets talked about a lot because it impacts the people who want to put coilovers in. There was a few dimensional differences in the transmissions (bearings), and a few wiring updates come to mind. I'm sure there'd be more though.

Here in Australia there was a load of trim updates, the first couple of months of production didn't have side moldings or painted mirrors/bumpers, or cloth trim on the door cards or a tacho haha, then from mid 88 on wards that all changed.
