So... In an odd turn of events I will be tearing the EF down to retire her indefinitely. We had some good times. Unfortunately here lately it's been more bad than good. For once I am at a loss for words... Goodbye Lucy.

Technically....

I'm only giving up on this one. My mother fronted me the money to get a newer car in a little better shape. The agreement? I get rid of the EF.
The catch? I have another lady in waiting. I picked up the sunroof EX from 89ef2 and am in the process of getting it moved down here to Florida after he gets the proper title. It's been stripped but I plan to pull all the usable from my white/blue EX and install them onto the SR EX. So... Giving up? No, just upgrading! LOL!

Mostly tuning. That and getting ignored by everyone in Florida when I ask for help. (Not you. You live too far away anyhow) So with the above statement I will be able to take more time with the next build and do things how I like and put a more meticulous hand forward.

I have it in (what I was told) a P72 chipped for bolt-ons, and it is still out running the fuel map. When the engine comes apart, and it will, I'll be taking the head to get it flow tested. I need to know what exactly is going on.

How can you tell you're running out of fuel? How can you tell the chip isn't just crappy?

I'm not sure bolt ons would ever exceed the OEM ECUs capability to compensate its fuel maps.

You're not going to run lean on an OEM ECU, plus you'll get the reliability. Why not just throw one in?

Sp33, did you see what did to the head? There's nothing factory about any of that anymore.

Actually i'd forgotten you'd done work to it.

I still reckon it'd run a whole lot nicer on an OEM ECU though, did you ever try?

Yeah, had a stock DA GS-R ECU running on it when I first put it together. Ran like a bat outta hell. Have been doing nothing but trying to get that feel back ever since. It just hasn't happened.

Maybe i'm missing something, but can you just buy another OEM ECU?

Mist parts shops don't even list a GS-R Integra DA. Never understood that. We got em. But it's like they don't exist. Anyways, there is no way I will go to the dealer to buy a ECU either. Regardless, the deal I made with my mother was to get into something more reliable I needed to let that EF sedan go. The deal is done. I got my reliable car and now I am moving on to other things.
