removing outer tie-rod

I've got the ball joint removed from the spindle. Now how do I remove the outer rod from the inner tie-rod? I downloaded a civic manual but doesn't talk about tie-rods.

is the one you have to hammer out or use a fork. or is it the on you turn to the left to loosen?
