okay finding a rear lip for my civic is giving me the absolute shits.
i have a stock one, it came off a hatchback and fit my sedan prefectly, so im not sure what model it came from.
I have a set of wagovan side skirts that i am about to paint and then attach, all i need is a nice rear lip.

I have read about people using 2 DA integra front lips for the rear. I had one sitting around so i used a heat gun and managed to get the basic idea of moulding it....HOWEVER every single friggen wreckers claims that they do not have in stock DA integra lips. I have been to all the self serve wreckers around me and nothing  Mad

So i need ideas for alternatives for my rear lip. Could 2 91 accord front lips be used. I wish there was something that was direct blot on...or just drilling. Has anyone got any ideas for ANYTHING i could use. And im in Australia so we dont have the Si civics here, so thats no good.

Well theres my rant, so lets hear some ideas then  Very Happy

oh and i know there is a million pictures of civics with rear lips, but i just wanna hear peoples experiences on installation, and what they  learnt doing it.

Oh and Spee this question is directed at you. You have an accord lip installed on your rear, and  i might be able to get hold of one. So exactly how much fiddling around was required. and did you only use 1 lip or did you need 2? plus you know the answer to just about everything  Very Happy

lol.

The Accord lip took forever, and i'm still not happy with it. I was thinking about taking it off.  It's actually a 3 piece rear lip, and i just used the two outer sections because the parts car had a tow hook so i couldn't get the middle piece off.

Just a thought, have you tried using garden edging that you can buy from Bunnings? You could trim it to whatever size you want and it would be pretty malleable, from memory it's just a rubber.

Here's it used on a 4wd flare:

Haha, maybe.  I ended up putting on a DA lip (on the front) instead of trialling the 'Bunnings special' . Razz

I was thinking of using a Hawaiian grass skirt and using a coconut bra for the headlights.  Embarassed

I have the fabricated DA lip on the rear. Before I was gonna hack up the OEM EF9 lip and extend it but could never find one. One of these days if I find one for the right price Ill try it along with matching EF2 front. ONE DAY.  Laughing

i have an ef2 front lip on my front.

It is way too short to fully reach the mudflaps. It probs wouldnt be worth it.

Quick question with the DA integra lip. Did you just use one lip, and mould it all around the rear, and just cut it at the exhaust? Or do you need two? Any pics?

i would think it'd have to be shortened if anything. cut at the exhaust cutout.

not 100%

arghhh this is so frustrating. Mad
i had a DA lip but the car i took it from had been in a front end accident and had a large chunk missing.
BUUUUUUT at the wreckers i saw another integra with a lip still intact, however is had slipped off the steelies using to jack it up (very safe wreckers) and fell forward, making the lip impossible to remove.

i might go down there and see if they can put it back up for me with a fork lift of some shit.

If i cant have a body kit, im atleast going to have lips and side skirts. and if i get really desperate bunnings will have to do.    Shocked

no freaken luck

So you don't have access to the wheel wells or behind the blinkers? I'm pretty sure that's all you need to remove it.

I used 2 lips. Youll need the second lip to extend the ends to the fender. The exhaust section is a definate cut because the lip is wider than the bumper. Ill try and get pics up.

Give it a whirl Smile I don't think the DA bumpers are much different to the EF bumpers to put on/take off.
