Thanks, but it's not really about luck, more about hard work and dedication.

Oh, i also hadn't mentioned that my mate was busy last friday, and i had an exam late that afternoon so i didn't have time for the Cressida :'(

Maybe next friday. Sad

On the plus side though, there's a car show/dyno day on at a local tuner shop, if i don't get called into work i'm going to make my way over Very Happy

Ok, got a rad/rad fan / battery into the Cressida and she started like a champion. Blows a bit of white smoke occasionally, but head gaskets don't scare me (piston rings do).

I just need to pass it for road worthy and it's MINE.

Oh, and even though the radiator was F'd from the smash, the aircon radiator (even after being smashed back into place with a sledge hammer) still keeps pressure, and the AC blows cold.

It also has this cool button which makes the climate control pop out of the dash to reveal another plethora of button options. She's a real beaut on the inside!

Nice on the Cressida..
Are you going to do anything to it or just leave it alone... You know how that leave it alone thing only lasts about a month or so before you start looking for conversion parts and things... heheehh!

Haha. Well the panels are so F'd that i'm hoping i'll just think it's too much of a PITA to get it looking good, so hopefully i'll just leave it be.

On an EF note, i steam vac'd all my carpets today, looks so good now. It's surprising what actually comes out..  Shocked

Big thanks to Rob for shipping these parts to me:

Old fork/new fork:

Drop comparo:

As much as it looked AWESOME, the wheel couldn't be turned more than half a revolution either way without chewing off the fender, and the mudflaps were on the ground, so now i just enjoy the extra couple of inches of suspension travel Smile

I got them from a company called suspension techniques in the US, they don't ship internationally though, so you need to find a friend  Cool

I'm thinking about modifying my rear control arms.... I might put up a design idea in this thread soon, see what people think.

he doesn't have a b series in that bad boy. its a d16a9 i think.
DOHC d series.

but i think its doable for the b series 4wd, you just have to get the cr-v tranny.

It's a d16a8, same thing really.

The CRV 4wd system is really not worth swapping, it's slow to act and not that impressive.

I got to drive the Cressida on the road for the first time today, perhaps not very legally, but i live on the edge  Cool  lol.

Picked up a road worthy certificate, will be getting it registered next week. It needs a headgasket for sure, but i *think* it'll make it to my place ok. Such a luxurious car though! Beautiful to drive.

I got one of the last sets, they stopped making them in '05 and they had a small stockpile left in their warehouse that they were selling heavily discounted. Apparently the last set sold last week!
