change in plan a bit....
vtec-e head
z4 cam
z4 valve train
d15b vtec intake springs
z4 intake springs on exhaust
z4 springs
d15b vtec springs
almost done
vtec-e combustion chambers
still need to clean up the ports a bit
ports are not port matched. |

anyway installed my 3540 prop valve and burst a brake line  |

Good lines dont burst, good thing theres no crash pictures. _________________ 1988 VTEC AWD (in the build)

18 year old Honda line.
i was bleeding the system and found a mess and a massive leak.
it sprayed out all over my drive way.
going to send them in Tuesday and get braided lines made if it fits my budget |

My goodrich lines were $115 USD, and are better than russell lines IMO just bought them for a CRX SI since they have rear disc. _________________ 1988 VTEC AWD (in the build)

soo I dunno about your EF's....
our 150 carbs and 160i sohcs came with smaller discs then our EF 160i DOHC's so this is a OEM big brake upgrade for me.
Going to get a set tonight hopefully with oem lines. |

I got 160i DOHC brakes!
they are waay bigger
now i gotta install them... might as well do CV's and ball joints. |

I think mine has the one on the left, the pads are the same shape.
Big difference in sizes! _________________

stuff done:
DOHC calipers installed
New Ferodo ceramic pads
DOHC front vented discs
New CBF brake lines
New master cylinder seals
EG 160E 3540 propvalve
dot 4 brake fluid
tons of elbow grease.....
stuff learned:
installing new seals are not for the fainted harted. hehe
dont drink brake fluid ( it teste like crap and is poisonous)
dont get brake fluid on paint (i didnt)
old update EK short shifter

engine and gearbox removed + fixing rust
inside
fixing more rust
the engine thats going in
future project
pics are outdated
engine stuff.........
D15B3 block + 0.040 skim
D15Z4 head + cam + slight skim
PM7 Pistons
D16A7 intake manifold
D16A9 exhaust manifold
D15B (sohc vtec) intake valve springs
D15Z4 intake valve springs on the exhaust
D16Z4 fuel rail (drilled to fit)
New valve guide seals
New mains
New big ends
New thrust bearing
New D16A9 pistons rings
Block has been honed and valves have been reseated.
this is more of a frank then frank
getting a lightened fly wheel next weekend...if all goes to plan. |

Engine and gearbox in!
Had to take out the gearbox as I missed 1st and 5th anyway thats fixed.
accelerator works
clutch works
gears work
drive shafts installed
light weight fly wheel installed
a few randoms....

you guys should come for a holiday here.... we could go EF junk yarding. They even sell some of the lights new here not OEM though.

I got my ECU programed, DIY FTW
My Dash is back in and I got high fuel presser working.
