so decided since im waitin on new rings and bearings, id clean the block and polish it, yes polish lol plans are to paint it black chrome or anodized red-to blood red dependin on how many coats.

Don't polish it, get it HPC'd or something, not worth the effort and you'll never get the finish even enough, or shiny enough for it to look any good.

lol with the paint goin on its not gonna matter how shiny it is, its either gonna turn out black or red lol but im goin today to check out some vht engine enamel as well

I am gonna try to link a pic off facebook of a guy that did his block red. I think it looks bad.

If you paint it black it will be harder to tell when you have stuff leaking.

Aluminum raw is better for heat dissipation for the head.

the thermal paint isnt for dissipation, its to lower underhood temps by keeping the heat in.

When I bought the motor, the PO didn't tell me that it had spun a rod, its gouged more than the local machine shop would like it to be.

I also in need of a ef header, the company id bought mine from sent me what looks like a eg chassis because it hangs so low, which hinders me from dropping car low like I want

go to andysautosport.com and look 88-91 civic parts at Spec D headers, it should work and only $70  Very Happy
