Revival, when I went to pick up the old cream sedan, the guy up 3x the price he told me originally. I left without it.

I sold the 97 hatch and bought 95 ex coupe.
Working on restoring it to stock, has ebay lowering springs which killed the oem shocks. Already got the motor correctly in time and new front suspension.

I still log in this site multiple times a week to check in, this forum always feels "right."

Anyways, here are a couple of pics of the EG in case anyone cares.

Why did you sold the sedan?

I sold the ol gal to pay for my last 3 months of college.

It was sold again before I graduated, and that guy had a slight front end collision. Instead of attempting to line things up, he put hood pins on the poor car. This combined with his ridiculous asking price kept me from re-obtaining the sedan.

Looks like my patience is going to pay off. After a week of phone calls, looks like I'm gonna pick the cream sedan shell up for $120. Glad I stayed active here even though I had sold it. Can't wait to get it back on the road.

Today I was supposed to go pick the sedan up, but there were flash floods. I did go buy a tow bar to make it easier to get home in a couple weeks.  Really disappointed that I didn't get to bring her home today though.

Well I have a lot of work ahead of me. I haven't gotten to look the car over, but what I've seen so far I don't like.
Front crossmember has a chunk cut out, frame rail has a "hole" through it...trunk was painted red on the inside....duct tape covering cracks in the windshield.

Gonna be a long time to get her road worthy.

Red trunk?  Lots of cutting but overall looks salvageable.  Also so happy you got it back!

Thanks to member 89CivicSi, I picked up his old D16A6 this weekend and also the ecu.
Getting super close to having all the drivetrain ready. A friend in a nearby town is working on finding me a crossmember, as none of the area junkyards have any 88-91 Civics.
A bunch of hoses that I will have to buy new, a lot of bolts that I need part numbers for, such as trans to engine bolts.
Also, I have a 4spd manual that I may rebuild and throw in if i cant find a 5spd.

Well, quick 6 month update.

I have made no progress on the car at all. Have the D16A6 and 4spd manual sitting in the shed, still not mated together. Need pressure plate, clutch, etc.

Car is not top priority at the moment (unfortunately). Currently attempting to purchase the house I've been renting for the past 2 years.
Also, spending a lot of time enjoying my son and playing with hot wheels.

Plans as of now is to start cleaning on the car as soon as weather gets cool enough, probably October/November. Then hopefully start getting parts together and get the car back on the road.

Im really at the point of wanting to give up, and super depressed about only having 1 vehicle (leaving gf/kid with no transportation while I'm at work), but its gonna pay off when I can finally drive the old sedan again.

I should have never sold it once I had the turbo build finished, but alas I'm in a much better position now than I was then.

Some words of encouragement??

The feeling of getting it on the road will be awesome though  Cool

Traded the stock a6 for a vitara/p2p0 a6 bottom end. the guy couldnt get oil pressure. Taking a chance with it myself.
I also bought a cable B trans, have been contemplating doing a swap. B trans was $30, so I grabbed it even if i dont go that route.

weather finally turned cool, time to get down to business.

Hope everyone is well.

Had a little help removing the tow bar attachments.
Picked up a 88 CRX SI yesterday. Lets see where this goes.
