Today is the day that my new couplers and tbolts should come in.
New manifold should be in today or tomorrow as well. Looks like I may get to drive my car again soon.

Plans are to stick them all on, get a map sensor, another mbc, and see if this shitty turbo I got will do 20+ psi without selfdestructing. Twisted Evil

Wish me luck.

Well, today is the day to take her down the strip. New manifold bolted on with good clamps and couplers. Currently on 12psi because didn't get the map and connector in time...a friend's friend is gonna let me borrow some slicks on lensos, hopefully I can drive this car down the track. I have yet to launch the car since owning it.

Wish me luck guys.

Had a fun night at the drag races.
Borrowed some slicks and got a few passes in and also let my friend drive too (the one who turned me to efs).
This was my first experience ever launching a fwd car.
First pass i drove easy to see how she would ride. 15.57 at 93 mph.
2nd pass i burned a new chip in staging lanes and pin bent, fouled my plugs and the car wouldnt fire back up. I had some old ones in my trunk so swapped those in....launch control was supposed to be at 6500, but somehow it reverted to my 4k street tune. Shit 60ft and it was cutting out badly so i drove through 23@45.
3rd pass, fixed chip/tune. Launch at 5k, bog a lil and then cut out bad..coast down 19@50 or so. (Buddy pass)
4th pass. Pull plugs again and close them up. 2.2 60ft 14.3@98(buddy).
hot lap for 5th pass and I wanna match his 14 . 2.3 / 14.57@98.**   so close to matching him.
He makes a hot lap, guy next to us rolls though light so time slip only showed rt and a 2.0 60ft.

I know what all to have ready for next time.

Looking good dude.  Needs a lip like whoa though.  Can't wait until we can get our sedans together.

I had a DA lip that I never got around to installing.

A little update with the car:
1. I sold it.
2. New Owner installed the last few parts that it needed.
(fuel pump, map sensor, and another boost controller)
3. New Owner needs tires.
4. It has been running great on 26 psi for the past week or two.

The guy I sold it to drives it hard, and will likely go to the drag strip next weekend (unless it rains). Best time to date in the car is still 14.3, and without better tires he should still be able to top that.

Even though you sold it, please keep updating with pix.

I honestly thought the turbo would disassemble itself above 15 psi.
Especially after the chunk of metal falling into to it incident.
I was honestly lucky to get one of the decent piece of shit turbos that last a little while. The guy who bought the car is the guy who I traded to get the turbo kit in the first place, so he knows its gonna be a dead one soon enough.

The car finally bit the dust.

I sold the car to pay for my last semester at college.
The friend I sold the car to, traded the sedan for a 97 hatch with gsr swap.

I heard the other guy was selling the sedan, so I got his name and looked him up on facebook to see what he was asking.

He wants $1000 for the car.
The sleeve has about a 4 inch crack in it, he also said the block was cracked, but i couldnt tell from the picture.

Parts added are a demon boarded ecu, some "6-puck" clutch, different turbo manifold, bigger turbo (not sure what specs are).

I sold the car for $3200 and kept the wheels/tires and the 5spd transmission.

I plan on going in together with a friend to buy the car back.
I would keep everything that isn't motor/turbo related, and the rest would go to the friend who wants to have the turbo on his car.

probably get a junkyard motor and get this driving as cheap as possible.
I am very excited though, and hope I can scrounge the money. Tough time to spend on another car since my son was born in December....

I have missed the car every day since selling.
