Scary indeed! It got worse because two days later it tried it again by jumping time!! Really?!? luckily it was only a couple teeth, it didn't destroy the belt or anything, and luckily I was able to limp her back home and fix it all (again).

Here's couple shots I got from our local HF Nation meet.

Last show of the year. Now I can really focus on putting the B16 into her. Hopefully she'll last that long. LOL! *fingers-crossed*

Well, recent developments have accelerated a few things... For starters, my cousin that lives in Florida contacted me a few weeks ago. He is asking me to return to Florida to assist him with the flux of work he is supposed to be getting in 2016. Opportunities like this come once in a lifetime. With a ton of discussion between my wife and I, we both agree, this would be the best time for this and so we are moving forward. In turn, that means that the B16 will HAVE to go into the sedan before I move or it will take a really LOOOONNNGG time to get it into the car once I get out there. So I'm pulling in as much of my resources as I can before the move to make that a reality. Been doing a lot of homework towards the cams I was wanting to run and looks like I'll be going a different direction. I was going to run Crowers but have been reading a lot about those cam having trouble breaking. I can't run that risk with this being my daily so it looks like I'll be saving up a little longer for a set of Skunk2's. That means that the stock B16's will have to suffice for the time being. Oh well. Might help me save a little gas as well.

So yeah, moving to Florida in February and the B16 goes in the second week of January... (nervous as hell!)

Finally got around to yanking the D16 out of my sedan! It's been an arduous journey but I finally got the damn thing shoe-horned into the friggin car!!

Once we finally got the D pulled from the car... that is when the hair pulling started. A good friend of mine was supplying most of the finishing parts for the B16... without much or any test fitting, we quickly began to discover that a lot of those parts were either wrong, damaged or just missing all together. The most frustrating was finding out that of the three starters he had, he had no B-series starters. A jumper harness someone else supplied turned out to go to another car entirely. The list goes on...

Got the engine snuggled into place with minimal casualties, the wire cover got damaged on the open side because the lifting chain crushed into it.

Since I didn't have enough time or money to get the Skunk2 intake I ultimately wanted, I opted to take my B16 intake to work and polish the runners out. Give that little bit of extra umfph!

Discovered you cannot run a 4-1 header without notching the cross member. Took it to work and dealt with that.

Right after we got the engine nestled in place, then I found out exactly why I have never seen a B-swap in a EF with power steering... It's physically impossible without removing a considerable chunk of core support behind the headlight. My heart broke and I sourced a manual rack and cross member.

The radiator hoses I ordered were apparently wrong as well. I slightly modified them to fit better, but I'm still unhappy with them.

After a week of working out kinks and bugs, she was almost ready to start...

Started getting things finalized and found out my intake was too long with the battery in place...

I still plan to figure out what factory tube I can run between the OE air box and the B16 throttlebody

We had a few scares on start-up. For starters, she immediately began throwing a code for O2 heater. We tried multiple variations at pinning and re-pinning the plug. Also, with the P28 plugged in she would crank up cold, every time, to 3000 RPM's! Eventually found out after a week of dealing with 3k start-ups, and an annoying 1k-2k throttle-bob that the B16 throttle body I had on it was malfunctioning for some reason or another. Replaced with one from a LS I had lying in my crap and she idles good now.

Cruise control works great. So relieved I got to keep one of my EX amenities. Still pisses me off about the power steering. On a better note: The springs I have on the sedan LOVE the B16! She hooks up like a pro in the corners! Just need to get her re-aligned so I'm not fighting her around every turn!

Well, pushing on to Florida is really the only thing left, now. I give back the GS-R ECU I've been running on tomorrow, as well as pick up my chipped P28.

My mate is building a sedan with a b18b and he kept the power steering. It is really tight behind the headlight, but i think he had a custom feed or return line made for the pump and everything fit nice.

I need to get him to post up actually, he's pretty slack with forums.

I had to eliminate the PS as well.  Went with a manual rack too.  I see you encountered a few things i did as well.  As oppose to notching the crossmember, i just went with the innovative one.  It allowed for the clearance.

Where in Florida are you going to be?  Very Happy

Thanks Sp33, but I do believe the width of the Non-VTEC head slightly differs from that of the VTEC heads. And yes, you would have to modify the pressure line in order to get it to work.

89civicracer, I'll be moving to Central Florida, Winter Haven area but my job is going to carry me ALL. OVER. Florida!

Alright, I know all you guys and gals have been patiently awaiting completed pictures of the B16 in the sedan... Wait no more

I love it, because the weight of the B brought the front end back down over the 205's on the front end...

I'm blue da-boo dee dah-boo die...!

Bling-bling!!

I knew after replacing the rack that I needed to get it realigned. I didn't want to be eating up a full set of new tires just heading down to Florida!

Found out while I was there that Discount Tire lost the Enkei valve stem caps from my rear wheels that they worked on. But wait... there's more... they also scuffed the face of one the wheels AND mounted the tire backwards!!! Promptly after getting it down off the alignment rack I tore ass over to the Discount and showed them the problems I was having. They'll be ordering a new, full set of valve stem caps, sending the wheel out to get the scuff repaired and flipping the tire back on the correct way. It's just hard to find good help these days...

Well, unfortunately this will be my last picture post for a good while, because I can't transfer pics into code from my phone for some reason, but don't think I won't be coming here to say hi! form time to time. I'll source a PC somewhere that I can post up on soon! Wish me luck brothers and sisters!!!

If you upload with an image app like photobucket, then you can copy the link text when you hit 'share'.

Sucks to hear about your wheel experience.

I almost never have good experience with tyre guys. Problem here is the front end staff (the people behind the counter you talk to) are the managers and people who have their head screwed on tight, meanwhile they give the work to the guys out the back who could've give AF, get paid by the hour and have nothing to lose.

Oh the wheel still continues to eat at me... I finally got it back, a day late! It made me a hour late from my projected departure time! And then I got to looking at it while I was mounting it to the car and the guys that did the work actually re-cut the face of the wheel, the reason I know this is because the tool chatter that was left behind makes the wheel look like it has diamond patterns in what is supposed to be a smooth machined lip, not to mention the horribly applied paint and clear that is orange peeled like crazy!

Anyways, besides that... I made it to Florida! I had a little mishap about 250 miles outside of Dallas when the driver's side axle decided it wanted to finally die on me around 80 mph! It was exciting, to say the least, but it stayed together to where I could make it to a local AutoZone and replace it in the parking lot. The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful.  Made it to a out lying town from Mobile, Alabama around midnight that Friday, slept in the car at a truck stop, woke the next morning and got back down the road! Made it to Winter Haven sometime around 6pm Saturday. Just kind of been taking it easy on this sunny Sunday. Replaced the passenger axle a little after lunch time and went for a nice relaxing drive around the orange groves! I love Florida! I just miss my family...

Thanks for the welcome 89civicracer!

So, I went to go try and find some other Honda people's Friday night and ended up having a tragic evening. I went to the Causeway in Tampa. Had a nice little drive across it, on the other side I stopped at a gas station and picked a soda, well as I was leaving I pulled out to get into the closest lane to go back across the Causeway and going from first to second was all the transmission was having... the differential let go punching a nice hole in the top of the casing. It turned into a long night really quick. I was able to get my roadside assistance to drop the car off at LHT Performance. If you don't know who they are then you should do some homework. Anyways, stayed the night in the car there, woke up the next morning and got the car lined up for a new rebuilt transmission. Still not happy about it but hopefully everything will run tip top after this. We'll see. Not that I have any doubts on the work that LHT does, it's apparently my lot in life to be constantly shit upon. So fingers crossed and hopefully I get the car back Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

I recently got my supercharger manifold ported and had cooling cores installed by LHT.  Cool

I follow a few builds on the east coast, and it sounds like sooner or later they always end up visiting LHT... Would love to visit in person sometime.

Hope your trans issue isn't too much of a PITA to fix.

Thanks Sp33! Yeah, LHT has some good people there, for sure! That would be a long trip for you, lol! How did you hear about them? I saw your s/c, that thing looks really nice! I can't wait until things start to fall into a groove here and I can begin budgeting for improvements on the sedan again.

Hahah, yeah it would be.... I've got a big America trip in mind for some time though. I want to roadtrip across from west to east, zig zagging through the middle.

I think i came across their website by just googling jackson racing superchargers back when i was researching about them. And then read a lot of stuff on honda-tech about people who are using their products with good results.

Still haven't gotten Internet at the house but after a tough year, I finally have my family here in Florida. Yay! I just want to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten about this place and I plan to post all kinds of pictures of goings on! Hopefully 2017 will be more fortuitous.

Please, upload some pics. Is the B16A still working properly? Is your car now considerably faster than with D16A?

I'm having tuning issues. Issue being 1) I can't afford to properly tune it and 2) I can't find anyone that will help me street tune the ECU that is on it. It's whatever though. Hopefully I get enough on my tax refund that I can take it down to LHT and have a Hondata S300 and some cams installed and get the Ol' girl properly Dyno tuned. She is quicker but with the poor tune she has to get the RPM'S up before she really kicks you in the pants.

Since you have all been such good sports, here's some of what all went on in the last year...

I took this one just after I got into Florida. Just outside of Pensacola.

And here is the destruction from the differential coming apart.

And here's the rebuilt unit.

LHT was gracious enough to send me some progress pictures. Here it is with the transmission in and still sitting on the rack. Only thing that I found kind of upsetting is that they didn't properly torque my wheel lugs down on the passenger front and I eventually lost a lug.

I got lucky and got invited to a small meet just outside of Orlando International Airport...

And I actually got to meet this guy! 89civicracer

One of the guys there was running around popping nicer pictures than my crappy phone and was nice enough to let me have the ones of my car!

The final lineup. I had a really good time this day!

I was bored one weekend and decided to pay some homage to my old hatch. She still resides in Haines City, but the guy refuses to communicate with me. Oh well. Here's the sedan...

...and here's the hatch.

I made my way up to Daytona for another meet. Again, someone took more pictures of my car. I swear... people always taking pictures of this heap! LOL!

The reason those LCA's are laying in the bay was not for looks. I had a guy assure me up and down that he would be there to purchase them and like most of my attempted sales, the guy flaked. I tried so hard that day to sell those because I barely had the gas to get there much less back to Lake Wales. SMH... I made it, but just barely. Disaster struck again as she decided to start hemorrhaging her head gasket. Coolant started seeping through into the combustion chamber. By the time I had gotten her to the house, she would barely start from the plugs in 2 and 3 accumulating water. Not enough to hydro-lock, but enough to kill spark. So the head had to come off...

About a week after that, the radiator blew the top hose mount off. Scared the hell out of me with this one because I had the car moving, at the top end of second, went to third and GREEN! all over the windshield! W.T.F.!?!?

Seriously? How the hell does that even happen??? Again, I fixed it.

A random rain pic from the apartment I was staying in. I had just run down and did a quick wipedown of the car since I couldn't afford to take her to the car wash. My neighbors probably thought I was out of my mind! LMAO!!

So that is how my 2016 turned out. Since the radiator I have been trying my hardest to stay local to where I live and not put any money besides maintenance into her. It's been rough to say the least. This tax season is SO needed. Poor Lucy needs tires and thorough go through on her brakes!!! I feel like a bad owner for the neglect I have had to put her through.
