in preparation of my new recaros, i decided to refurbish my carpet. i dyed the gray carpet, but when i swapped in black interior i didn't get around to dying the black carpet. here is a before pic (if you can believe it is "black"):
i beat the carpet with a big pry bar like it stole something from me and out came 18 years worth of super fine dirt/dust. after vacuuming, shampooing, and a re-dye, she came out like this:
my mint recaro ls-m's came!
the headrests are original, leather wrapped with netting:
the original black/red gradient is so pretty and rare!
these seats are almost completely brand new. i got them from a japanese guy that had them in a car that sat under a car cover in his garage for years. no rips, tears, cig burns, or stains... the fabric and bolsters are like brand new!
i didn't take pics after the install because it was too dark. they went in with ease using recaro sliders and wedge engineering brackets. unfortunately, i sold my camera so i can't take any nice pics of them in the car. motormavens.com may be doing a little photo shoot of this car so maybe they'll do the seats and the car justice.
next mod: amber lights! |

i suspect and s.i.c. agrees that they are most likely from a 80's vw, though we can't confirm which model. |

his sedan is either a 90 or 91, the jdm fronts can be found from unlimitedjdm.com, passwordjdm.com, i'm sure there are a few others, but those two have em.
