what is the better choice?

I found a pair of Tein Basic Coilovers for 250 on craigslist and I am trying to give my father reasons why that would be a better choice than the crappy ebay coilovers. He thinks that it would make no difference so go and save 200 dollars with the ebay stuff. What are your opinions?

Well its a big diffrence because those simple coilovers that are like 50 bucks is just a hallow can with a screw and a spring that u slip ur shocks through and the tein ones are a complete one piece set up. I wouldint really know the diffrence but i just say get the tein ones they are a little more expensive but they would look cool and also its a whole lot better. i have function & form coilovers on my ride and they work great i say spend a little more and ur car will handle much better. Also if they have adjustible dampers thats even better because u can adjust if u want ur ride to ride smooth or stiff u cant go wrong with them when can i see ur regular shocks do that? not many....

Yeah the dampener adjust ability was one of my thoughts and I need to read about the tein coilovers more.

Man get the TEINs NO competition..

The ebay ones are fine to drop your car but will kill your shocks and wont handel//
TEINs will handel unrael, give you a good drop and still handle..

Have the TEINs on my sedan it makes the car Cool

wish i could find tein basics for 250, even if they are worn out, tein is one of the only companies you can order individual parts from, oleins is the only other company i know of.

Have TEIN Super street on my Sedan and CRX.
Had the sedan on track and was easily beating 1.6 Vtecs, 1.8 vvtli Celicas, FTOs and a lot of european stuff due to handeling..

No competition man TEINs..

Tein super streets here too, if you just spend the little bit extra for the added ride quality, you'll thank yourself.

ebay coilovers vs Tein is like Hyundai vs BMW. More expensive, but more reliable, more fun etc.

You guys helped but I am not having any luck getting the title to my civic. The guy financed it, payed it off but never actually got the title from his credit union. Anyways I never heard back from the guy with the teins so he probably sold them.

I haven't given up yet on the car but I keep finding solaras that are pretty sweet. I will be parting it out if I can't get the title soon since the car has been sitting in the driveway for over a month.

Honestly you are wrong it is the pontiac aztek that is the ugliest car ever. You are proabably thinking of the 2nd generation which doesn't look that great.
