Spring Options?

Ok so I was wondering, since the CRX and Civic are hatchbacks does the weight distribution cause weird handling when the springs are used on a 4 door Civic?

I'll probably be using H&R's or Tanabe springs on tokiko blues because of the cost factor. I'm trying to achieve a stiff ride without being so stiff that the screws fall out of my dash.

What setups are you guys using? Are you happy with the ride?

Don't EVER buy Sprint Springs...They are way too bouncy. They corner very well but when you hit a bump or rough road you really feel it, its not a comfortable ride....you swear you were riding on stocks that were cut.

Currently I have KYB GR-2's with Omni Power Coil Over Sleeved springs with about 2.5" of drop. What's really nice is that I can adjust whenever I want.

Do you find that the coil overs rattle at all? My past experience with coil overs was that they allways make some noise. Even with the rubber o-rings.

Cause when I got your car it was completely slammed, and I raised it like 3" lol. It was fun driving it on the ground though. Oh, and you should get some konis Smile

koni's = sweeet
i have an H&R cup kit from a DC integra (uses koni yellows revalved to match their springs).. didnt lower it very much at all.. which i expected from the weight difference.. but damn does it handle well..

on my ef sedan i have tein s-tech springs on tokico whites and it rides pretty good. on my ef hatch i have ek kyb 4 way adjustables in the front and 8 way in the back with v-spec coil overs. it raised the car up Sad but takes turns pretty good! Very Happy i was thinking about maybe putting it in the sedan, but then again i wanna slam it on the floor and i can't really slam it with this set up.

I have all stock shit right now, does anyone else sag in the back?? i dont have any carpet, or spair or jack, or rear dash, still got the seat but damn its over 1" lower than the front, anyways
going koni sports/yellow with step sleve, and eather eibach sportlines or maybe neuspeed springs, i has S tech, too soft. The S is for Style, looks like a couple of you are on H&R

Give me your horror stories, if i get enough, i'll tell about driving my hatch over 4 miles on 3 wheels.....

crappy ride

the previous owner torched my stock spring so i was pretty low to the ground but i bought a set of arospeed adjustable coilover and they SUCK it rides ok .. better than it did but not as good as the eibachs under my dad 95 civ i want a set of lowering eibachs but they are pretty pricey
intensels4dr

im riding on tokico blues and ground controls i wish it was stiffer but all in all its an ok ride at a 3 inch drop.
