Spee's 4wd EF5 Sedan. Heaps'o pics.Well I'm not too sure why i don't have one of these already, guess i just never got around to doing it.
So here's my car, always updated. It's my project/Daily.
I think I'll pay tribute to my first car though, It was awesome, got my places and made me love EF's...:
And the best part about the car... It's carb's <3<3 (Oh how i miss my carb's...)
And so i saw this 4wd sedan advertised on ebay... It was actually the same one of which i went to check out BEFORE i bought my first sedan, but i couldn't get in contact with the seller. Seeing it again for sale was like it was meant to be....

So i talked with the seller a bit, and the day before i was to get on my plane the seller call's and tells me he's hit a supermarket trolley and the bumper/foglights all busted and its got heavy scratches down one side. :/
But the tickets were booked, and all this damage was just bargaining power for me.
So i get there and this is sitting in the car lot...
I don't see how someone could treat a car that bad to make it look like that 
So, although being hesitant i picked it up for pretty cheap and drove it all the way home (20~ hours drive) with no problems, except for a bad wheel alignment lol. I finally get it cleaned up, and it doesn't look so bad:
So the hunt for factory pieces to get this car looking descent again had begun.
Also got some leather work done, from this:

Almost a year fighting with my states transport agency, it becomes registered!!!! And the lowering FINALLY begins.
And this is how it stands now 
More shots to come, i've lowered it a bit more since then.

oh yeah, wheres the exhaust run on that? on the wagon its between the lower controll arms, so its pretty poor on ground clearance. I wasnt sure if there was room over the right half shaft.....

Hmmm, exhaust is just like the wagon.....still not sure what i'm going to do for a gas tank. The wagon's now got a leak, and the new one i bought for the sedan last year blocks the driveshaft. Thanks for the pictures of that for me.

No probs. What about cutting the regular sedan tank and welding a around the driveshaft so theres no interference?

The center console is stock.
The armrest was relatively easy, only took a few day's of wrecker's scrounging.

It's a factory option which mine was fitted with, so it rolled off the floor with it

I'm pretty sure it was only few model's, possibly 4wd only that recline flat. I think one of my brochures claim it's a bed feature lol. Maybe for little asian's.

I saw that in a honda brochure with that "bed" feature. .
i guess you were suppose to sleep in your car also. . hahaha
As far as the center console. . i found mine on ebay a while ago.
Just search for it. .

There are a fair few jap imports here, although 90% of them are various skylines. The rest of the ten % goes to other kinds of sports cars, like silvias and 180's.
Parts are probably more expensive here then they are there... Alot of the parts are actually from the US

Well now it's all finally collaborating...
Stripped:
Masking has started there too... All the door jams, trunk area and the headlight/radiator shroud where our first target.
New panels make their way on, by this stage all of the inside of the panels have been painted.
Masked up and sanded down,
New colour goes on...
So what do you think guys?@! Neons and subs are on their way!
Kidding, It's just primer.... With guide coat:
And that's as far as i got, i needed my car so everything had to go back together. I'll be cruisin' primered for a couple of weeks.
Also i'd like to note how much of a PITA power windows are. It would have been over 9000 times easier had i just unbolted the old doors and re bolted the new ones. But because i wanted to keep the bronze glass everything had to be completely stripped bare.
I must say too, panel alignment is fantastic considering all these panels came from different cars... I'm very happy.

This is my EF5, my second sedan (after my red one). The white and silver sedan were donor's

A friend bought the white sedan, and used it for the engine, then just let it sit in his yard. He was kind enough to let me scavenge what i needed.
The silver sedan just popped up out of nowhere at a local wreckers.
The lip on the wheel's is just a "dress rim" they call it. They're a chrome trim piece that snap on over your steel wheels, i had them on my first sedan. My engines a DOHC ZC.

lol. I just wasn't happy, the doors had been beaten over by soccer mum's and their shopping trolleys, and the old doors also had side intrusion bars welded in to pass compliencing, but they didn't do a very good job of it, it also made the doors REALLY heavy. My hood was horrendously bad and so where my fenders.

Today actually, i saw a 90-91 on I-95 so i cruised up to it. . i was all excited to see another one on the road. . . . then i turned my head and there was an older couple in there. . .  . . .oh well. . .

What made you go for that colour too? Are the bumpers staying black?

Only the front bumper is black, the back is the stock colour. The front bumper was pretty damaged, so i bought a brand new one, and never tried painting it the gothic grey.
Both bumpers will be going this new colour though. I've always liked that shade of brown/copper/gold. Can't wait till the whole car is done.

ED3. That was my first car. Yep, DOHC in my EF5.
Finishing the paint over the next few day's. Watch this space.

12 hours of sanding. Gosh.
Put another layer of primer on, sanding that back tomorrow. I'll be hiring out a beefier compressor, and hopefully i'll get some colour on.
