Slammed "LOOK"

Am running Skunk2 sleeves w/KYB AGX's on my car. Fronts are all the way down no bump stops and the rears am on the bump stops.

I want to go lower in the front but dont wanna buy a Real coil-setup right now, can I install some custom top hats and get the nose to seat alittle lower??

~Sp33~

Shexy.

I don't think top hats will make your car sit any lower. They're just designed to give you more shock travel. The springs are what will effect your ride height.
JDQCIVIC4DR

nice drop any lower your gonna scrape your headers, exhaust pipes, shave up the mud guards, break an oil pan, mess up the axle. theres a white 4dr in north hollywood with air shocks, drops really low and rise it back up. its not my cup of tea, if you wanna go lower air suspenion
BLKEF4DR

nice.... Cool what kind of rims are those?
89civicracer

Mugen NR's right??
Sick wheels. . . .  Laughing

Drop it any lower and you will just have to remove your front mud flaps. .  Rolling Eyes

nice looks great Very Happy

Thanks guys

I do really like how it sits but theres that but.....I would like for it to be NO gap between the fender and tire. As it sits I scrape the cat going over speed bumps only.
jkgonzalez3

if that's all you scrape then you can go lower. Cool

are you still running the perches on the skunk 2's? or just the coilover springs in the front?

like this

s.l.c.

Ill take those preches off today Cool
4GSEDAN

I heard somewhere if you run Accord front shocks or Accord front forks it will lower your car like an inch...can any one elaborate on this?
whoa its len 2

clean drop. im barely tucking and scrape the chassis lol.

3rd gen accord shocks bolt right up. just gotta trim the notch for the groove in the fork. the front shaft are shorter by roughly 1/2 an inch but the distance from bottom of the shock to the perch are nearly the same. rears are the same but dont have the welded nut so you gain nothing.
s.l.c.

took the preches last night off an almost tucking rim in the front Very Happy  but its bouncy as hell Crying or Very sad need some custom top hats.

PICS!!

Usually if it's bouncey the dampers aren't stiff enough. Maybe cut a ring off the springs to reduce the static pressure, it might prevent it from 'bouncing'. Just a thought.
s.l.c.

Well put one of the prechs back on and suspension when back to normal, meaning I have shock travel again so no more bounciness.
Raise the car about 1/4 but am happy on how it sits now.Ill post pictures after work.
s.l.c.

heres a pictures with the both perches out

jkgonzalez3

KOOOOL did you scrape on anything ?
89civicracer

KISS them flaps goodbye!  Laughing  Laughing

only the mudflaps but problem if I when over a speed bump the cat would problebly take a few hits.

I still have to get the rear bump stops out so that problebly will sit the rear more even with the front but still have the rake look.
jkgonzalez3

your cat will hate you. i messed up the part where the front passenger lower control arm goes  on my car Twisted Evil  ooops lol
89civicracer

You should just get some coilovers so you can slam in when you want and raise it when you are cruising in areas where the roads are all crappy !
~Sp33~

CAAAMBAAAAAAH.
whoa its len 2

yup fix that rake. i can fly a kite under there.  Laughing
s.l.c.

not done man, posted a pic so people could see what it look like that low. Will be messing with the rear this weekend.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Looking forward to that.

Your sedan is dope by the way Very Happy
s.l.c.

thanks man

I decide to put one of the perches back on, after instaliing some custom top hats that are 1/2 taller I thought it would help the stiffness. It did  that low with me inside only but one's I took the family for a ride the bounciness came back and they started winening about the ride.
jkgonzalez3

but the bounce is the fun part Razz
s.l.c.

when your seventeen  Razz
mitsubishiv5

car doesnt seem that low, there is alot of things you can do to your car to make it lower no doubt.

Try these:

Cut the cup assembly at the perch shorter all the way around ontop of coilovers with adjusting nuts with shorter springs and extended tophats, as long as you can compensate for the shorter springs with tophats youll be good, although tophats that are too big are just kinda too much

max tophat height should be around 1/34 inches tall, because any bigger and there really isnt any gain

Full coilover setup with adjustable shock body

mix and match suspension components

Once you go low you cant prevent scraping underneath the subframe

my car scrapes the front cross member, and gets stuck on small speedbumps, headers scrape the floor going straight, smacks into road reflectors and barely has clearance underneath , rear control arms scrape, can smacks into the ground somtimes, uca hit the chassis and cant get clearnance to go lower, mudflaps dont say honda anymore

my car rapes speedbumps, and i rarely go over them

it really sucks that the "EF" chassis is alot lower than most cars

but this is the joy i get for lowering my car

I still love my car though
whoa its len 2

His car is definitely lower now.  Wink

cleanRENO90

that is how low mine was when i had it on the stock 14's.  Laughing

it looks super good on the meshies.
BiG ChOr!Zo

that blue one on the meshes looks good... i got the same wheels also but it aint that slammed...!!!

Fuck yea, that set up when he pulled in was straight looooow lol
whoa its len 2

Haha yeah heres a teaser of that. I heard hes going 9 inch wide spares soon.  Laughing

LXKID88

^^^ seriously?
mitsubishiv5

thats really gross to even be running spares like that.
~Sp33~

That's the same spare that my car came with. Except mine is fluorescent orange.

i want one! Laughing
~Sp33~

I can't imagine that the smaller rolling diameter can be very good for your differential.

Good for burnouts though!
whoa its len 2

No problem for us here. We dont have factory 4WD or limited slip. Unequal axle shafts and one wheel burnouts ftl... as if our engines had enough power for that. Laughing

Besides, he got that flat right before the exit to the meet. The shop hooked him up with a free repair. The rolling pic was after he got it fixed. You can barely see in the reflection in the window, all four 15's back on.  Wink
mitsubishiv5

now it makes sense. atleast he made it home alive and free flat repair hahaha.
brezuno

so you were able to lower your 4dr even more buy just removing the sleeve from the spring correct. if you got that stance by do that i am going to try and see what mine looks like by doing the same thing.
ed4_civic

I love the dumped look but it isn't for me unfortunately my driveway sucks so im as low as i can go till i get out there with some cement  Twisted Evil btw the mugens are sikkkkk  Very Happy
Dolie ED3

low

dropped mine 2,5 inch,im on my third golf vr6 front lip!
speed bumps, curves hate them! cant get lower ! Evil or Very Mad
