REDNECK'S ED3 project!!!!

ok here are a few pics of the car the night i got it you all know how ugly the engine bay is in its stock format. still have to take pics of work ive done under the hood.

plans for the car there are a few i am unsure of.

-fully shaved and tucked engine bay(means no heat, ac, ps ect.)
this includes any small brakets that are spot welded on.all holes filled and smoothed down there should only be 3 bolts visable that touch the body which are the 3 motor mount bolts. oh yeah fully built b18c1 with itbs or custom vertual works turbo setup(capable of 700+ whp) with matching intake manifold. also custom all hydrolic clutch with custom braket i have plans to make and brake booster delete, with brake line relocate and custom tucked wiring harness(all work done by me!!)

-possible rhd conversion(have to see if one is availible when i start on the firewall shaving if not will stay lhd)
will have brand new oem honda black carpet. bride front seats no rears, 8 point roll bar. havent decided on tin or doing some custom paneling and upolstery. have to accuire a black dash from a 1991 dx or pick up a 91 dash and dye it. s2000 cluster will also work its way into this bad boy.

as far as paint i still have to look through my house of colors color chat to see what i am gana like.

oh did i mention car will have a JDM front end.

this is the most intense build i have done this should be a show winner evrytime at the shows. ok so finally lets see what we are working with. also bare with me this will be a drawn out project im expecting a date roughly 1 year from now there is alot more that i want to do as far as suspension and underbody goes. but this car will be emaculent even though my spelling isn't

it will be updated regularly as i do work to the car. next step is to pull the dash and the rest of the motor and start getting the headlight harness' tucked. and also there is one thing i am having trouble locating which is a bulkhead connector for like 30 or 40 wires(like a quick disconect plug but i dont want plastic has to be metal) if i cant find this i gata spend 750 for the harness im trying to duplicate.


oh and k hasnt totaly vanished from my mind. will have more pics up later today.

yeah that picture is actually of me last year running my swaped 4 door car was insane fast for being pretty much all stock except header exhaust and intake

ok here is the current work i have done to my ed3

removed all acc. out of the engine bay and have all harnesses loose to pull through the firewall and have also drilled out all the spot welds for the little brakets for the charcole canister fuel filter ect.










theres my dd in the back


next step is to pull the short block and tranny, and pull the dash so i can start pull all the wiring harness through the fire wall and ill start removing all the tar from the bay. then pull out the ol mig and start welding some stuff up.

the front bumper is 90-91. thats what threw me. Laughing

looks like a 88-89 bumper to me.

unless you are talking about the pic in his sig? i took it as that was his last sedan and this thread is about his new sedan and not the one in his sig. :shrugs: i don't know i am drunk it's getting me confused now that i have to really think about it lol

the car in the sig is a 1991 the car that im building is a 1989.

*update for today pulling the motor and dash and hopefully get most of the tar cleaned up oyt of the engine bay so i can get to welding all the bs holes up.

ok so i got the shortblock and tranny pulled today. also pulled the dash all the hvac bs pedals master cyl. and dash harness.

ive been doing some research tonight and found a write up for a crx dash in a 4 door seems preety straight forward and i think this is what i will be doing with mine(got a few double dins laying around) should look good in there. also need to find me some 91 dx black door panels!!!

this is my 4th build but my second four door and my first to this extent
