recession sucksI know since cali on a state budget crisis the government finding any way of getting money new laws that dont make sense. like they have the right to impound your car if you have no rear seat or interior ( attempting to street race ). park your car without a steering wheel on city streets gets impounded. any type or shade tint on front side windows NOT listed on the CALIFORNIA CODES VEHICLE CODE 26708 use to be no darker then 30 percent thats a ticket. driving with wipers headlights must be on. also some jdm headlights are ticketed for not dot approve, HID ( modified lights ) goes same for quick flash ( its $10 fit it ticket ). last i heard that coilovers, trying to pass a law on that too. all fines and fees are going to be doubled. i drove by LA i saw nothing but tow trucks towing stock cars. i read the signs there was no street cleaning or no parking or stop zone. any ways just be careful they been picking on mostly imports trying to find anyways to impound or give tickets.

those are bullshit laws but my car was outside for a while with expired tags and no wheel and they never said anything about that. but about coil overs and no rear seat thats kinda bull.

In PA we have the same law about the headlights with the wipers being on but thats it.

parking enforcement told me about it the no steering wheel. she impounded car. its Section 22669
(d) Motor vehicles which are parked, resting, or otherwise
immobilized on any highway or public right-of-way and which lack an
engine, transmission, wheels, tires, doors, windshield, or any other
part or equipment necessary to operate safely on the highways of this
state, are hereby declared a hazard to public health, safety, and
welfare and may be removed immediately upon discovery by a peace
officer or other designated employee of the state, county, or city.

remove a vehicle parked within 500 feet
of any occupied building of a school, community college, or
university during normal hours of operation, or a vehicle parked
within a residence or business district, from a highway or from
public or private property, if an alarm device or horn has been

designated employee is unable to locate the owner of the vehicle
within 20 minutes from the time of arrival at the vehicle's location,

its up to you if you want to park your car without the steering wheel on public streets. just would suck to pay for towing and impound fees. besides that some impound yards steal like archor impound on vineland street jacked my PIAA lights. move your car with a fork lifter too. fyi if you guys are trying to get fix a tickets signed off dont go to chp in woodland hills they are not honda friendly.

LULz, people get the detachable steering wheel to deter theft and now they have to worry about thieves and the city.

with the quick release thieves can still turn it with a bar between the hub or kick the tire. my friend got his rhd itr stolen on the 3rd time. first attempt got in but couldnt start it. 2nd they pushed it 2 blocks without a steering wheel couldnt start, 3rd time they moved a car blocking it and towed it.

wow man that sucks to hear about ur buddy's ITR but yeah its pretty bullshit about the quick release steering wheels. in some neighorhoods u have to have it because of car thieves. im pretty sure u can get it signed off if they know where u live but them new laws are just bullshit to get money from anybody. once they pulled my brother over for having his yellow fogs on. and they said they were illegal.

man that sucks ... yellow fog lights are legal. lexus and acura have oem yellow fogs. i hope he fought it. law says only amber and white in the front. i seen hondas and toyotas with yellow head lights. cops don't ticket them here but in glendale they'll give a ticket just to be a dick. just hope it aint that $112 nonfixable ticket. section 26101 Modification of Vehicle Equipment. its a waste of time to wait over 1hour in line to file and schedule a day to see the judge. most judge favor the officer.
