poly rear trailing arm bushing problemmy ES black polyurethane rear trailing arm bushings are starting to slide their way out of the trailing arm. the pass. side on is almost out of it's place.
i have read that others have experienced this (not with sedans tho)
anyone here have aftermarket bushings in RTA? experienced this problem?
I want a stiff bushing there, but it keeps sliding out.
help?

super glue? or we have this stuff at work called fusor.. it'll glue anything together.. we sell it to body shops who dont wanna weld pannels together.. works just as well.. and sometimes is even stronger than a weld

wow! kinda scarey...I have black ES bushings, too but w/out the slipping out. Trouble free so far...going on a year's worth of mileage.
Perhaps you have the incorrect size. They shouldn't just slip right in...it takes some effort to slide them in correctly w/out cutting them or partially sticking out. I know...experienced this when I first learned how to install them.

sounds like they were installed wrong. possibly the center bar was not aligned right (slightly offcenter I think) and it pulled on the bushing long enough to do that.

I have the bushings, and CRX SI trailing arms but havent done this yet, any words of advice? i am getting 4wd wagon wheelbearings to mount the rotors on, and going to shim them bitches till it aligns right in the caliper, and then make some spacers
AWD with selectable FWD FTW!!!!

my advice would be to make sure the TA is off the car... it will take a lot less time. these were a pain in the butt, and I did them on the car which was even worse.
I still think its a good thing to do though, but I do'nt know of a really good way of replacing them as a DIY
my method involved using an air impact hammer with a sharpened chisel bit on the rubber inside the ring, and on the pin also, but it was extemely hard to get/burn all the rubber off the pin.

Silverfodo: How long have the ES bushings been installed?

if you dont take all the ruber of the steel part of the mount they will shift and pull one half of the poly mount out seen it happen.

I bet you knocked out the entire old bushing, instead of leaving the metal sleeve. I was cutting and burning out my old rubbers on the integra rtas I just got, and I managed to knock out one of them.. It's funny, I have had cars where those bushings slid right out, and this set of RTAs is just lame, burning for an hour with a torch.. lol. I smelled bad.
