Newbie to the forum Hi All!

Well ive been into hondas for about 3-4 years now namely the crx mk2 which ive had about 5 of. Always loved the look of the sedan Cool

Been having alook at some of the sedans on this site, some awesome examples.

At the moment im just trying to find out as much info on them as i can before looking to buy one. Im moving from england to denmark next month, so ideally looking for a euro lhd. Possibly a ef5 4wd if they had them that is. I would even look at importing one if i had too.

This is my project crx atm, jap import ef6 which ill be sticking in a b20 for track use this summer  Twisted Evil

Welcome!  Very nice CRX, can't wait to see what you'd make of a sedan.  You wont be able to find a LHD EF5, however the EF5 did come with AWD.  Steve can elaborate more on this chassis, as he owns one Very Happy

So no euro version  Crying or Very sad

Love to do an ef5 awd turbo sleeper project, ill have to check out the jap auctions i guess.

Any info for searching purposes very welcome, thanks

There was a euro awd but i'm not sure what the chassis code was.  i also am not sure if it was lhd or rhd.

Welcome! Badass CRX you got there. What mods have you done to it so far?

Sorry it was a bit lame of me not giving a rundown of the car.

Well its an ef6 jap import tintop rustfree. Reason for why i bought it was because its a jap rustfree import, lightweight, and i have more susp mods available as it the same chassis as the US version traction bars and sway bars etc.

Because the ef6 dont have power like the vtecs the chassis are usually alot straighter with less force been put through them.

Comes with bronze tint glass.
Power folding mirrors.
Climate comtrol.
Rear 1.5x high level spoiler with 3rd brake light.
Tintop so alot lighter.

Engine and drivetrain will be swopped to b20vtec at some point.

Ive fitted Tanabe sustec suspension which i have to say is awesome, same league as ohlins. I have a full poly bush kit ill be fitting in denmark where i have the room to do it all.

Its been pretty stripped inside as ill be fitting a cusco cage and tiebars before engine conv. Undersealed and waxoyled. I want the chassis nice and stiff and fully prepared before i impant a bigger engine.

Its been de-aerialed and de=rearwipered.

Fitted a j front lip and some vtec leather seats which are so comforatble.

edit: also sprayed up some mugen RNR's in satin black with centre cap writing in blue. I have 38 offset on front and 45 offset on rear with a spare allo of each offset. 38 on front so i dont have to use a spacer when i fit accord twinpot calipers and 45 on rear as that is the correct offset for the crx and tuck in nicely. Yokohama parada spec 2 tyres  Twisted Evil

Not alot really as ive only had it a month. Very Happy
HRspec

Yes there is an ee5 awd and euro lhd    banana

Ill probably be best finding one in germany and importing. The search has now started haha

Ive seen some nasty pic from cucso cages failing. Your talking about the blue bolt in cages right?
HRspec

Really i didnt know that, yes its the blue bolt in one, have you a link?
ThurmanMerman

Ill try and find them. I know one involved a porsche and the driver was critically injured.
HRspec

Cheers would appreciate any info.

EF Sedan Enthusiast

wow  Shocked  that's one nice sedan!
ThurmanMerman

The guy was apparently ok somehow, seems as tho his brakes failed around the last turn at Oran Park and he mounted the wall and a pole of some sort, But it makes you wonder just how good some of these bolt in cages people buy for their import

HRspec

Id say looking at those pics the cage saved him.
ThurmanMerman

The cage still failed. Drive should have been able to walk away from that not taken away on a stretcher.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Those cages are only as good as their installer.

How do you like the carbs on the CRX?

I've never seen that bodykit before. Although it looks OEM. Any of our German friends able to chime in?

Really? So a bolt in cage is better than a welded in cage. I think not. There is a reason why those cages aren't allowed at any track in america. They fail. Period.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Did I say that they were better?  I simply stated that they're only as good as their installer.

True. Still its a bolt on cage. Anyone with a half a brain can install one.

Well its not the fastest of engines but on motorway journeys i can get upto 430 miles to a tank of fuel, which is pretty damn amazing.
