New Steering Wheel Options

So im in the market for a new steering wheel and ive noticed a lot of people have the Nardi Torino wheels which are awesome but I really don't want the same style wheel as a lot of sedan owners ive seen. Im a HUGE fan of the company Grip Royal and I haven't really seen many sedans with one. So what I was going to ask anyone is have you had one of there painted wheels before? If so how did you like it?
Im going to be buying one regardless but I haven't decided if I want a leather wrapped wheel or a painted one any feedback would be cool thanks. Here is there website until the new one is finished up gives you an idea of there products.

Ok I must say.....Thank you so much for putting that link. Ive been looking for something this style for ages and haven't been looking in the right areas...You have directed me to some sick shit right now...Get the wheel cuz im get one now too.
HondaJunkie

Yea it's good stuff man they where more for the drift crowd but have sense gotten a lot bigger market I found there stuff when I owned my 240sx but I like the drift style to much not to bring some of it to my Honda. Once orders are open for painted wheels I think that's what im going to do they run about $170 - $200 but the uniqueness is one of a kind. Whats cool to you can choose the color and design you want on the wheel and even have them throw colored sparkles of your choice on that shit I honestly haven't found a better wheel company imo.

AGREED^^^

Here are a couple examples for anyone who is curious of how great there work is.

Not a noob question at all it's really easy all you need to get is a Hub adapter for the 88-91 civic/crx and the steering wheel or your choice.
MOMO is a good hub adapter company or you can find cheaper ones on ebay for like $13.
tenkaracole

thanks!!! nice reply easy to understand and straight to the point!!!!! Very Happy  and these are really nice LOVE the custom lettering! Wink
EF4lyf3

IMO, I wouldn't use EBay whatsoever for this type of application.
An associate of mine had an EBay one and instead of the insides having the indentions for the metal ball bearings on the steering wheel, he had plastic ball bearings on the hub which made almost all steering wheels obsolete. Plus he found a steering wheel for it and I clearly remember him making a quick sharp U-turn, which obliterated the hub... Just my .02, you get what you pay for  Very Happy
HondaJunkie

I was just letting him know of different options sense some people cant fork over $50-$90 for a good hub. I get what your trying to say though but you must be referring to a quick release cause regular hubs don't have any type of bearings ebay or momo. I have both an ebay and momo hub adapter they both serve there purpose but for looks and quality momo wins it hands down. For a quick release I bought from the company off ebay JDMsport I believe was the name for $38 shipped and it worked really well everything was made of aluminum nothing plastic or anything like that.
tenkaracole

I wouldnt get one without asking you guys first so I could get your opinions anyway. but I would probably spend about 65 and just get a decent brand Smile
HondaJunkie

It's always good to get opinions I hear you on that but EF4Lyfe is right for the most part about getting what you pay for there are a lot of shady companys selling on ebay.
tenkaracole

definily shady!!! kid at my school bought a cold air intake off ebay for $150.......THEY SENT HIM A BRICK!!!!!!!!! a red concrete BRICK!!!!!!!!!!LOL!!! seriously happened!!!!!!!! Shocked  Shocked  Confused
tenkaracole

CRAZY SHIT!!!!!!!!
HondaJunkie

I would wonder why my intake was so heavy when I picked the box up Mad
jmanwantsboost

At least they didn't crap in the box. 160 bucks? For this piece of shit? see what I did there lololol
HondaJunkie

Har
EF4lyf3

Oh that's right, my bad! I got a little confused, the hub is usually solid no matter the brand so you should be good to go brotha.
jmanwantsboost

Oh no. I just remembered that I once saw an si hatch for sale with that chain steering wheel Shocked. Also are these wheels strong? The video where the dude pulls on the fake Nardi and it bends freaked me out.
HondaJunkie

Yup the wheels are strong at least from all the reviews ive read and a lot of people have them in there drift car so they get used and abused.

I agree, That video made me second guess "Gripping" the steering wheel when bracing for impact (God forbid) lol
jmanwantsboost

It's a tin can on wheels lol.
jmanwantsboost

well at 40 mpg i can live with it. just gotta be extra careful! btw the axels you gave me work great! that popping noise i had was my rear motor mount failing as the new front one was making it take up the slack.
HondaJunkie

Sweet man glad to hear it did you fix the mount yet or are you waiting to.
EF4lyf3

I personally think im going to upgrade to some hasport or innovative Single cam mounts. I hear they make a world of difference.
jmanwantsboost

Not yet. I'm going to get a OEM replacement and energy suspension inserts
HondaJunkie

@EF4lyfe - When you snag them up let us know how they are I just wish they weren't so pricey  Mad

@Jman - Right on ive looked into those inserts before but never used them let me know if you notice a difference cause those inserts are cheap.
jmanwantsboost

For sure Smile. So I want to get a aftermarket wheel one day, but I want to keep my cruise control. Is that possible
EF4lyf3

Run the cruise control to a switch.

And ill be sure to post it up for sure if and when I get them. Yes they are fricken expensive that's for DAMN sure lol.
tenkaracole

swith or maybe you can mount it on the column
tenkaracole

LOL sorry SWITCH!! palm face fail! Laughing
