My project

sold my project.... however the new owner just got it painted corvette blue metalic... looks nice (update: he just added Zex dry nitrous system 50-shot) I wonder how long til he blows the motor...

new car: project integra!

92 integra GS 3-dr White w/nice black interior, sunroof, ABS brakes.... yeah!

current plans: build head (just found out the head has a stripped spark plug hole... ordered replacement head to build) >$1000

future plans: rebuild bottom end for high revs, etc, and maybe supercharge. JDM headlight conversion... not much else. ($1000+$2000+$200+tuning parts, etc.)

DA Boo! i'll be AWD with sunroof, and ABS and a DC dashboard and still be ligher than you
But at least its still a honda
aaronhume

ya your project definately sounds sick! make sure to have lots of pictures of everything you do, and what it takes for all the custom work.

I cant wait myself
Its strewn all over my apartment, so pictures of parts arnt all that fun. but hey, i'll throw my FS thread up here too. making my brackets for rear roll bar tommorow. i'll take camra phone pictures, so stay tuned.

My buddy has a DA and he had a broken springs, so he put my sedan springs in the front, had nice ride height imo. bout quarter of an inch top of wheel to the fender. FYI ive got a flywheelu i'll send to you for $10 plus shipping (from a 92 LS) if u want it to have re surfaced or lightened or whatnot.

if I had my old car I probably would but this one has an 8 lb flywheel already. I almost took one from the j-yard once but I didn't feel like holding the crank in place to get it off Wink thanks though!

update...

my headgasket blew in the integra a couple weeks ago
but the good news is that I have a head, cams, valvetrain, pistons, etc....

hopefully going to end up with 11.01:1 compression and maybe 160ish whp give or take some (what I reasonably hope for) all-motor LS baby!

all for about $2k or so... more than I could say about the b16a swap and cams in my old civic sedan (best dyno was 144 whp) and closer to $4k
intensels4dr

those numbers are very doable i made 138whp and 120 ft tq with stock compression, a ported and polished head and a set of mild cams. i was going to go high compression and i picked up some pr3 b16a pistons and a set of arp main studs but i decided to go boost instead. so on to the next project.

update

okay I am half way done with the engine stuff now Smile
I just got JDM 1-peice headlighs, which are a really nice change on the looks compared to bubble-eyed egay racing lights the car came with...

costs so far have been:
head/head work/pistons/rods/cams/valve springs/etc... :$1974
head lights: $160
Tuning parts (wideband kit/chip burner/chip kit/datalog kit):$315
Suspension (eibach springs/bushings):$299
subtotal:$2748

future desire to spend on:
tokiko illumina shocks/other half of bushings needed :$488
Header/exhaust: $600 (maybe, although the stock header is pretty efficient already on this car)
appearance: HID lights, driverside fender (and paint):$460
subtotal:$1548

I will get my head back from the machine shop tomorrow, and hopefully see rod bearings in the mail too... then I will reassemble stuff (and hone the cylinders)

update:

I'm still waiting for bearings and a piston lock to come in the mail, so I did a couple cleaning things...

completely degreased: rocker arms, cam caps and bolts, oil pan and girdle nuts and bolts, timing covers, exhaust header nuts and bolts, and many more bolts....

and I port-matched my intake manifold... that was a pain in the butt, but hopefully it should be a smoother change from the small intake ports on the manifold to the normal intake ports on the head.... Wink

I have my head back, and it looks very nice.
