my 91 lx build up

ts sad to say but I cant stand to look at my girl anymore. So I have secured a vehicle to drive while mine is off the road and I am about to do a complete body job. I have located 4 mint doors, a hood and trunk with perfect taillights to start, as mine are showing typical rust in the lower corners. My goal is a complete colour change to the Honda pilot copper colour this will include under the hood all door jams etc. While the engine is out I am going to fill in all the extra holes in the engine bay as well as the rad support and do a mild wire tuck to clean things up a bit. I have just switched to obd 1 and the car has never felt stronger....but I have decided to boost the car as I have a fairly good tax return on its way. The kit will be a t3/t4 60-1 all custom piping, externally gated set up. I am hoping to get 250 WHP with the modifications I already have. I have taken a few before shots and I am going to keep a log of the build as it progresses.

I am shaving the doors again sorry but that’s the way I like them. I actually picked up today, 2 rust free rear doors a perfect hood and a mint trunk lid. My new rear quarter panels are arriving tomorrow morning so all that’s left are 2 front doors and 2 front fenders. I wasn’t planning on this project starting this so soon as I have quite a bit on my plate at the shop but, last night my t-belt broke so I figured what the hell. As near as I can tell I have bent a valve so I did some digging and have came up with a b16 head so ill be ls/v-tec on boost this summer. The colour change is because, I am sick of the blue although its a sweet colour I need a change. New colour will be burnt orange. It’s been a busy week but I managed to get my doors welded in. Ive taken all of the factory seam sealer off the doors and re-applied it so they are like new again. I sand blasted all of the door jams and the hinges so they are ready to spray.

well after nearly a month its got high build on it here are some final shot before it left for the painters

the entire harness is tucked also the fuse box has been relocated and the battery is now in the trunk. You can see I stripped the entire engine bay all the brackets brake master will be painted black and reinstalled starting later this week.
the under side of my hood had that nasty ass thick oil spray so after 3 hours with grease remover it looks perfect again

it took hours to get the natural body line back into the fenders after i hammered the lip all the way around the wheel arch no more rubbing though.

I still have to pull the ELD harness through the fire wall still but here is a good shot of the harness ill put loom on it after paint

this is a random side shot of the car

here is a pic of the interior or where it used to be like i said its gutted

. My plans are to work steady all weekend and hopefully ill get a fair bit done. i had not really planned on doing a wire tuck but, I figured what the hell im into it this far .

as you can see it came out pretty nice the pics are just minutes after the clear was sprayed in total there is 4 coates of base and 5 coates of clear also the car was 3 stage water sanded to 1500 grit and polished i have since been putting about 2 hours a day in to the reassembly of the car and ill be posting pics of the exterior soon. its been like 1.5 months all is going well it running and all back together here are a couple quick shots Surprised
