U know, porting the DPFI swirler is alot of work, but doesn't do much, i f you want to make it flow better take out the restrictor plate between the throttle body and the manifold. Its smaller than the stock exhaust Or do both!
Looks nice, too bad about the Y7, bet it was from over-reving. Your not supost to hit the rev limiter, a d15 will last longer than the d16 because of its shorter stroke, so its a little safer, but still not recommended.
Looks like you've done alot, easy cars to work on, fun and rewarding to drive, aren't they?
Welcome

Welcome |
Im not to sure if porting the swirler does anything but this was done with a d16a6 cam, y7 timing gear, stock exhaust manifold, pm5 ecu, knock off intake, stock exhaust piping, and dynamax muffler. For a engine that makes 89 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel stock i was impressed. Guys in the shop thought i was hitting vtec when making pulls.

Is that with DPFI or MPFI?
edit nevermind saw your other thread...pretty impressive for a DPFI setup, wonder what you'd pull with the MPFI swap.

that is real good. the DPFI has a nice torque curve. wonder what it would do without the restrictor plate!

This was with the plate removed.....this is also a legit dyno run. i thought i would have it done and do a before and after MPFI swap comparison but never got back to do it.

Almost ready for this.....still waiting on the ups man and trying to find a obd0 distributor.

I HIGHLY suggest just getting a brand new distributor. Distributorking .com has decent prices. Brand new, new cap and rotor, and improved design that won't fail as quickly as honda's
I think they have an Ebay store too, which might be slightly cheeper. Good luck with the swap!
If that is infact a DOHC ZC and need a cam position sensor, Ive got 2 and nobody seems to want them, so $15 for both + shipping

Fixing to put it all together...pics of the swap
Its gonna be a whole new 4-door.

Yeah im ready to get it done. I wont have all my parts this week, and ive got to drop a LSvtec in a friends car with him friday and saturday. Im stoked though because nobody around here has a 4-door but me and another guy. Our cars are identical too. Hes fixing to go d16z6 in his though. Me? im through with the single cams. i guess im just to rough on the rods. Im still not sure if im gonna spray it or go boost. Hence the reason the blocks gonna be studded up.

Theyre ls hoses...you have to use them because the stock civic hoses are to small for the ls water necks... All I should have to do is trim the upper hose al little bit.

nice,, i didnt know about the hoses. That will help me alot.
Hopefully soon i will be picking up hasport mounts, trans, axles, and wheels. Then i just need to find a motor and linkage.

It lives....it lives. No pics, videos yet but its going. Runs great but was sent the wrong intermidiate shaft and cant finish it up yet. Soon as I find the right shaft itll be time to roll. Its part number SK7-J stamped on the mounting bracket and is from a 90-93 integra. later

Thought id throw up a few pics of Grannys LS, it kills 1st and 2nd, gets 3rd, and chirps 4th. Grannys car got fun...
I havent cleaned it up yet, still focusing on the mechanical stuff, little things like a LS throttle cable, and painting the valve cover, new plug wires and plugs. I worry about getting it cleaner once thats all done. Thanx to all that helped out on the parts end...you know who you are.
