my 4dr project logfirst off let me start buy saying this i long over due cus i have had the car for a while and have done things to it that havent been documented or posted any where else and that this is not a over night project so this thread may last 2-3 weeks before i post a update with pics ok so bare with me [img]images/icones/icon7.gif[/img]let me start buy intro ducing my car 1991 Honda Civic Dx UPGRADES when i got the car this is what it came with tokico shocks lowering springs short shifter intake exhaust center force clutch CHANGES crx dash battery relocated new rims and tires and lowered in the front now for pics and the stories behind them [img]images/icones/icon7.gif[/img] ' this is what it looked like when i got her 
then i took care of the motor situation from this B2 
to this B1 
then a rim swap 
then i couldnt get it started and this is what it sounded like 
i had a professional come out and look at it and thats how i know the valves where to tight cus i swaped head internals with rocker arms and ever thing all he did was adjust the valves and it started right up here the first pic of it washed and running 
then came the battery relocation 
then the dash swap 
then i was bored for a while and took some photos 
then the unemagenabel happend she broke down some more 
i never noticed but the tie rod on my balljoint was striped and as i was driving down a bumpy road it just poped off got lucky i didnt crash 
and also my axel broke in the processes but i am now trying to get here running back up they way she should went out this weekend and got me some fog lights for 10bucks well worth it put them on and it looks sweet ohh and also went out and got me 2 used tires for the front cus it realy needed it them here are the pics of yesterday at the park with my cusins 
next on my things to do is get a pair of corner lights then i am going to smog it get a new short shifter get some new rims get all new tires and alignment new front end(fenders,lights, bumpers,ect) then a motor swap lower it in the front some more headers redo my exhaust get a cold air paint it then some more suspension and then work my way in to the interior so keep coming back for updates will post again when i do some thing new to my baby lol thanks for looking have a great day [img]images/icones/icon10.gif[/img] **UPDATE** i decided to lower the front of it some more about 2 inches here are some before and after pics

i had eibach all around but it was still to high in the front it looked weird so i put some proactive springs in the front wich game be about a 2 inch drop heres the only pic i have of the prosses lol

3 things, i like all fellow sedan owners, at least those who dont intentionaly total them, or even better, those who revive them from the junk yard, so PLEASE USE SOME JACK STANDS. your life really depends on it.
2 Mmmmm CV joint grease everywhere, and btw i think you have the name threads mixed up with tie rod, because i can see your outer tie rod and most of your inner and they are surprisingly not bent, that i can see anyways, and surprising that didnt mess up your fender. 1, if i were you insted of buying springs and messing with ride height all the time i would buy a body hammer and a universal dolly and bang out your fender and at least get some spray cans and primer it, it bugs me to see you work so hard and for it to look so bad (paint) the only way you would make more work for yourself is if you let it run (the paint of course) One question, how did that happen to the motor???? Hope you dont feel i was too critical, i try not to be, my sedan is far from what i want it to be, its just im halfway through the cobra v8 into my 240 that my sedan just has to be patient |

well to answer number three it was going to be a junk car and i did have jack stands on it before i started in that pic i had just taken off the wheel
2 i never said it was bent in fact its fine its just that my old one the fell out cus the treads where striped and the nut fell off 3 the springs i put on i got a while back for my crx but never put them in so they where just sitting there and my front was to high and that buged the shit out of me i do have a body hammer but there is no point in trying to fix these cus i am geting new ones in about a week or to paint is that last thing on my mind i am more concernd about it running right cus as of now it still isnt and why cus i only get 250 mile to the tank on this thing so that next on my list of things to fix before paint fenders any thing else but thanks for the input and your last and final question that happend to the motor cus the previous owner just had some guy put on the head on the car a new complete head and the guy who put it on i guess didnt know that the valves had to be adjusted a certin way cus there where tight all the way and the valves where hitting the pistons and just messed ever thing up so yeah i dont feel that way input is always good cus where the person receving it cares or not it may help them one day or even help them make a good choice so thanks for that

BMW bottlecaps. They look great on EF's
Change has a set on his EG hatch, and EFsedanenthusiest had a set on his sedan before he removed them for LS meshes im pretty sure. |

***UPDATE***
well a minor update as some of you may know i have a D15bi motor in my civic *70hp* and well i got tired of not being as fast as i once was lol so today i decided i was going to put in my DX cam in my motor and well i did i can feel the diff. in 4th gear now i have a bit of pull not just noise lol and my exhaust is way louder now lol but i am having some problems with it it sounds like my valve need to be readjusted wich is no bigie i plan on geting that done this weekend and i have a accelerating problem in first when i try to take off its really slugish it speed up in stages you can feel it pull harder in harder my possible solution is i think i have to advance my timing on my dizzy and if that dosnt help well i am going to have to check the timing but its all good feels great sounds a bit louder now and well i went from 70 HP to 92 HP in about 45 min's so i am happy just wish my valves didnt sound like shit and well sorry but i have no pics my camera is at my cousins house and i am going over there on saterday to pick it up wash my beast order my corners and i will post up some pics thanks for looking |

after looking and looking i found them the amber corners for my 4dr 90-91 the picture looks like the 88-89 but we will see when they get here here is the pic i hope they look good cus i have been looking for these for a long time hahaha thanks for looking gusy

The ones pictures are 88-89. You might be able to custom fit them though. I know in AUS because we had different headlights between the facelifted and non facelifted, the corner lights werent interchangeable. | ||||

as for the wiper its not hard all you do is take off the driver one losen the nut for the passenger on and its a mater of trial and error find a spot you like put there and see if it gose all geh way |

**UPDATE**
ok its been a while here the 411 on my car 2 days ago i got a flat i was forced to leave it over night so when i went back the next day some fuckers broke in to my car stole my sterio,walkman,3 out of 4 speakers, my damn Battery from my trunk and my damn JDM badge off my fender i was sooooo pissed cus they broke a window to get in so now i have to buy one ughhhh so what ever then i got it home put my steelies on in the front got tires and the next day i got a nother flat on the freeway tore my corner light out moved my fender so when i opend the door it killed my fender and tore the hood latch cable off so i had to bend the shit out of my hood to i can unbolt the T bar just so i can open my hood so now i need fenders hood corner light T-Bar and Hood latch wire soooooo gay but the day after i got my wires and plugs that i ordered so i cant even use them cus the car dont run now i have a bit of more work to do so yeah just thought i would let you guys know thanks for reading |

yes....yes it is cus again to day i had problems i broke my trany mount so my motor sorta fell to the right and just broke my axle so yeah i fiexed though in about 2 hours so it runs lol but know i need struts all around ughhh my poor car i want to fix the problems but if i try i am going to go broke

here is what I would do... although it may not be practical for you...
take the engine out before it falls out.... clean everything! respray clean engine + rebuild if needed + replace anything that maybe worn ( i got a huge collection of cam belts) 
clean the gear box + new seals if needed put in fresh new mounts my 2c
I am about to take mine out and give it a scrub..... |

once i get my other crx up and running i will deff. do that cus you know i have a crx project and i am getting a crx for a DD its ok needs some TLC but i not as much as my civic lol but if i get that crx going i will deff. put my civic to rest for a while and redo ever thing

well here is some thing you all dont know i didnt post this up cus after they broke in to my car i was pretty pissed then thishappend so i never posted but i got a blow out on the freway about 2 days after they broke in to my car i was going about 80 and i had a blow out this is what happend from the shreads of the tire puled out my hood latch cable tore up my fender and yeah so my car is beat still
but i just thought i would share this with you guys her is the pic of the fender ohh and in order to open my hood i had to pry it about 2-3 inches form the bumper just so i could unbolt the T-Bar so yeah here it is 
you know after i get my lower and upper control arms i am going to take some pics so you will see what it looks like cus of this shit ughh i just felt like shit and had to vent thanks guys |

tire pressure is critical, 2 times have i watched 2 people fly past me on the freeway, and say to myself, Gee that tire is quite low, only to see shreds of tire on the road and them pulled off on the shoulder. not saying thats you but thats part of the reason i have Hella's tire pressure AND temperature monitoring system. on my DD wheels. ( i think you all know i have 13's, 14's (both my CRX SI and BMW bottle caps) 15's (some konigs, and 2000 SI) 16's (ultra light track wheels), and my 17" DC5 type R wheels)
maybe it was just a firestone, (ha ha, it was really the owners fault, 40% of the roll overs the tires were bald) anyways, feel your pain, i have slid into curbs when used to drive more recklessly, and then you dont just have a flat, your rims bent too, but it was just stock steelies. so no big deal |

**UPDATE** well today this morning i got my stuff i was so excited i love it now i just need to grease the balljoints and shave the arms down a bit and there good to go and the LCA's look great cant wait well here the pics

Every other day is pretty good, far from neglect. Yeah when i bent the frame on my second sedan......i rewend a brand new 205 60 13 UHP summer tire, and it was on a VX rim, which if you can get them are super light and real strong (i bent the trailing arm a little and buckled the frame between the rear lca's and the rim was straight, just the outer lip had a section about 4" long bent in about 3/8" the inside was perfectly straight (i think they are forged) |

the auction for those LCA's says those are HIGH QUALITY STIFFER RUBBER BUSHINGS, are they polyurathane? i guess it could be considered a rubber, but more like a plastic. can you push that pin in them out, or is it vulcanized? i still need LCA's for my crx. | ||||

hey guys its been a while and i am in a situation i am curintly rebuilding my si crx and i have a huge problem i blew the motor in the civic about 3 weeks ago and i dont have the money right now to fix it cus i have no job so there a few things i can do A strip the car of tis goods and junk it buy a better one later on,B try to salvage the car with the blown motor i have in the back yard to make it run again or C try to sell the or give it away i am not sure what to do cus like i said i have no money and i no longer have a job so i realy cant do much my hands are tied i would love to know what would be the better situation for me | ||||
