cleanRENO90

cldblud

yeah thats what ive been hearing, but i just found a b18b with tranny for $300 so im just going to buy that Smile

obd-1 or obd-0?

if its obd-0 you're in luck because you wont have to change any wiring in your EX. and you can even use your pm6, its just not gonna run as good as you'd hope. Laughing

its just the engineand transmission and its at a junkyard how will i know if its obd-0 or obd-1?
cleanRENO90

you gotta know what year car it came out of.

if it came out of a 90 or lower integra, i think you've got obd-0 on your hands 91-95 i believe is obd-1, and 95 up is obd-2 i think.

not 100% on all that. but i might be correct.

not tryna jack your thread brian but i got a dx....what type of wiring would i need to run a 93 gsr that i am getting for 200....
cleanRENO90

you'd have to convert the car to obd-1, and you will need an ex/si harness, you'll need a jumper harness from obd-0 to obd-1, you're going to have to run v-tec wiring to the dizzy. go on honda-tech, and use the faq's and the search

you will be doing yourself a huge favor if you get rywire.com to make you a wire harness
EF2dudesocal

rywire its expensive and ive heard they so shitty jobs sometimes. your better off learning in honda tech and you going mini me thats awsome thats what im running on my sedan and man the car moves fast!
cldblud

is there an advantage of going mini me over just gettin a full d16 vtec?
cleanRENO90

higher compression than stock vtec swap.
cldblud

ok im sold Very Happy
cleanRENO90

its only like .1 or .2 though. nothing crazy.
cldblud

well i dont feel like puttin a whole nother engine anyways
jaysol91

ok soo what is the mini me swap? like i know its a combo of two sohc's riqht?
bradpee

if your good with wiring you can convert your car to mpfi there are lots of how to's online, instead of replacing the dash harness and everything

as far as which head, i personally would pick the z6 over the y8 anyday

you put a SOHC Vtec head on a SOHC non Vtec engine.
