Master Cylinder upgrade using factory parts

A friend of mine just switched his 13/16" master cylinder for a 15/16" from a 91 EX. Apparently all of the lines are located in the same spot so it's a really easy swap. He has said that there is a noticable difference in pedal feel.

From what I understand those of you with a 7/8" MC will also be able to do this as a direct swap.

yea they are a direct fit.. i think the DA one will fit fairly easily too.. not sure if its a direct fit or not.. but i think its a little better than the EX unit..

The DA one is also 15/16" bore but the lines are slightly different and require a little bit of bending. The EX one has the lines in exactly the same spot as Original.

interesting.. learn somethin new every day Very Happy

I guess you just go to autozone and order the ex mc.

or a junkyard

I saw in junkyard , the civic wagovan 4wd has 15/16 mc. Do you guys think it got 10.3" rotor too?
Type-S EF

4wd got the same front brakes as the EX sedans.

I went to the 15/16" BMC out of a DA, the only thing was I had to use the booster along with it. Little bit of a bitch, but now its all new parts so we should be in the clear.

I think I had the DX MC and fitted an EX or LX .... I dunno MC (but its bigger)

I also am using a 3540 prop valve and the EX or LX (what ever) brakes (discs and calipers which are also bigger)

big difference in braking, if I brake hard my tiers burn.  Smile
sharpie

so the wagovan has a larger master cylinder then other ef's?
