Okay, so some of you know that i just bought a 90 ex. Well to make a long story short, i'll be parting out the motor soon so look in the for sale threads for parts. Anyways, i'm throwing in a healthy ls from a 90 integra and i had a few axle questions....

1. What axles and mid shaft should i use?

2. Can i use the axles and mid shaft from the donor car (90 integra gs).

3. I have my old mid shaft and axles that i used on my 89 lx with the B16. The driver side was custom built because i guess it was too short and kept breaking. Can and should i use those axles instead?

4. what Part number should the midshaft have exactly?

i had those axle problems with DA axle boot would always break and click..makes a clunking sound when turning! im using 94 gsr axle with abs ring ( dont need came with it usdm ef dont have abs sensors). its been about 2 years no problem! good luck.

okay so 94 gsr axles with what midshaft?

i for got ill ask the guy who i got the parts from im guessing DC stick, i know automatic midshaft vs stick midshaft are different. cause i had to exchange it.

ok cool one more question, do you have your stock spindles with that setup?

yup using stock spindles, mid shaft came from a jdm integra XSi with b16 according to him. i gotta crawl under the car and check the part number when i get a chance. i think its pr3. my cousin DA has those life time brand new axle from autozone and they click its been under 7 months.

89 integra axles, duhh....... I'm gonna give it a shot and see what happens. I'm gonna check my old midshaft to see if it's a 90-91 integra one.. What numbers and stuff will it have imprinted on them??? I'll take some pics when i find it...

usually it starts with letter P. like if its a gsr part it would have P72 on it or LS have i think P74 / P75 . SiR have p30 or pr3

okay, so i checked my midshaft and found this........

It has the stamp SK7-J Confused

What the hell did this midshaft come off of??

ok the midshaft is from a DA, i looked it up under parts on acura site..Since the problem that everyone has is with the driver side axle, besides buying 300 dollar axles, what other options do i have?

My boy told me you need to use axles for whatever B series intermediate shaft you use..

So if you use a da intershaft you need da axles.. I picked up a type R intershaft and used dc axles.

my brother ef is using dc ims with 94 axle integra brakes. 6yrs no broken axle.
