Lowering my car, what do you recommend using?

So my shockers need to be replaced soon so I figure why not lower it in the process ey? The wheelgap has been annoying me for a while.

I'm interested to know what you guys recommend before I throw a bunch of cash into the car and find myself disappointed. Why reinvent the wheel when you can get something tried and true ey?

I'm still unsure if I want to go coilovers or spring/shock combo. I was thinking I'd go for either Buddyclub, BC or Skunk2 coilovers if I take that route. However I'm unsure what is available or worth getting in terms of a basic spring and shock combo.

I currently have coilovers in my mx5 and love them but it might be a little harsh in the Honda as it's my daily driver and I'm after a little more comfort. I've driven the mx5 on coilovers for a good 2-3 years now and although you get used to it, I bought the Civic to avoid having to deal with a crappy ride.

Let me know what you guys recommend etc. I'm interested to hear feedback.

I would highly recommend Function Form Type 1's if you want full coilovers.  If you wanted to go with a sleeve and shock combo, Ground Control and Koni yellows are amazing.  If you don't want much of a drop and excellent ride quality, look for brand new OE or OE like shocks with Eibach springs.

I can agree with the previous statement. I have springs and feel low. I don't know how slammed ed's do it.

i have F&F typ1's, but havent got to drive on them yet.  Crying or Very sad

Im on skunk 2 pro-s coilovers. I like them so far.

I'm running megan streets right now. I like them. If you're not gunna go super low any full coilover should be fine really. Not eBay ones tho. Forum Index -> Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tires
