JapJunkie's EF Sedan Build

So my sedan build had to sadly start after my near fully-built hatch was stolen. Good thing those scum of the earth bastards didn't get a nice B18C out of it, all they got was an OBD1 B7 SOHC.

Still no word on the car. So I after I had gotten over the fact that I was swagger jacked, swacked.. it was time to toot it and boot it.

So luckily, I found and picked up a 91 Civic Sedan down the street from my house from some old timer. It has 320,xxx miles on it! Original motor too. He wanted $1000 bucks for it. The car is in OE condition, real clean inside and out (not one dent, which is amazing) and no dumb f#cks have tried to splice wires together using only electrical tape, so its a come up. I told him I'll give me a G if it passed smog, supposedly the guy replaced the head gasket prior. The sedan ended up failing smog and needed a new cat. So I told the guy that it was going to be a lot of work to get it to pass and offered $500. Delightfully, he took it! I looked online and found a D16Z6 w/ 100 k on it for $500.

So new car, new motor, new build and VTEC for a lil over $1000.

So now I got the whip on jack stands and its going under the knife.

Old motor came out today and I desperately needed a cigarette or a bowl lol

Got both motors in the vicinity

Broke the damn crankshaft pulley on the old motor while trying to take it off. I said fug it and just cut the damn timing belt cover in order to remove the driver side mount.

Cleaned up the tranny with Krud Kutter

Tranny Removed

Happy to see I have a new Exedy Clutch to run

Boom! EF motor mount installed on the Z6 with slight modification to timing belt cover.

Preppin' the motor to go in. Still have to extend the TPS sensor. Check out the bling.

After dealing w/ these thieves I have come to the conclusion to just say phuck all name brand sh!t,  all them Gucci, LV, Spoon, Mugen parts can suck it. I CAN afford that sh!t and I never try to pass anything that is fake as genuine. If it's all going to become a liability then I am just going to rock knock-off parts that look just as good. Check my $50 eBay header. Hello.

This is where it sits now, AC and all b!tches. I am ready for this Cali summer. Now, I am just finishing up the obd1 mpfi conversion. Once it is running I will need to get it ready to pass smog w/ a new custom exhaust. Stay tuned.

Thieves are fucking worthless pieces of scum who need to learn how to put in an honest days work.

With that being said, Very Happy you found your way over here.  Your hatch was nice and I'm excited to see what you make of this sedan.

Thanks for your replies fellas. I was wondering what clusters w/ RPM gauges can fit in my 91 DX Sedan? Can 90-91 Si HB clusters work?
