If you wouldnt mind giving me some imput.Ok guys so Ive decided that I want to go a little more "wild" on my all motor Type R build then before. In stead of mildly built I think im going to go fully built. You know the whole nine 2.0 B18c block.. completely worked head ect... So I will be selling my B16a minus the tranny to my buddy to fund the project. Luckly for me my other friend is going K and said he would give me his B16a he has in his now minus the Intake manifold, Throttle body, Ecu blah blah... (these two guys dont know each other :-p) I have basicly all the parts for the b16 to go back to "stock" the only things that will be after market on it will be Intake Header and exhaust. Attached to my B17 tranny with type R LSD and an aftermarket clutch (nothing crazy).
Anyways this motor is VERY healthy and in one of our cars I was just wondering what you think it would run (ball park) in the ¼ mile. With a decent 60 foot and all that jazz.
I just thought having a B16 in it would be better then a single cam. Anyways thanks for the imput.

depends on what sedan you have. a DX being the lightest
It would be a mid 14 second car, my buddys sedan with an ls in it ran a 14.8.
I have a b16a with all bolt ons, type-r cams, and tuned on chrome, with an ls tranny.....i ran a 15.8 spinning through first and second ha....yea a wack ass time i know.....
none the less it should be a mid to high second car, with lsd and a short geared tranny, it will be pretty decent though

on a 88 4dr b16 w LSD stock headers stock exhaust stock 14 inch rims no powersteering no a/c and no rpm gauage. i hit 14.5 at pomona. with mickey thompson slicks i hit 14.2. i spanked a hatch with b16 he had headers intake exhaust.

Thats not to bad for a b16 with an ls tranny. B16s with an LS tranny has bad news all over it unless your boosting. I really think I can pull a low 14 off. When my b16 was stock with a b17 tranny I pulled on a GSR ef hatch and I think that would run a high 13

actually the B16 had a high rev short gear tranny with oem LSD i think its a y21 or ys1. i think the whole b16 came from a Integra XSI or the CRX dohc vtec. on my white 91 it has the LS tranny now which is slow compared to the prior B16 tranny. for some weird reason i get better gas mileage with the b16 tranny.

i hate my ls tranny, but it isnt that slow with it....its not bad, its a shorter geared ls tranny........its faster than my old hatch with a b16 swap........
b16 trans is coming though.......sometime
