I have some D16B6 questions, need expert advice.

I got this motor for $30.
Here are a few things that I have researched.
1. It has weak rods.
2. It has different crank than any other d.
3. This crank has different journals (therefore diff size bearings).
4. Being an 8 valve head, the pistons only have 2 valve reliefs each.
5. A 16 valve head can not be directly swapped on.

Parts at my disposal include:
1. 8 D16Z6 pistons.
2. a few MPFI intake manifolds.
3. MPFI wiring harness (obd0)
4. I can get a pm6 ecu from a buddy.
5. I have several ecus laying around that can be chipped.

Speculation:
1. You can put other D-series pistons on the B6 rods and use them.
2. After the pistons are swapped, you can use a 16 valve head.
3. Some say the offset of other pistons will not allow the pistons from other D series motors to work.
4. Some even go as far as saying that their 16 valve head didn't crash into the stock B6 ( 2 valve relief) pistons.

Most search topics I found were from 2006-2008, with a few from 2003 and 2009. NONE of the ones where people were going to try it out ever had results or any more posts from the original poster.

So I guess my question is, is it a lost cause to put these z6 pistons on the b6 rods, and then put a 16 valve head on?

I say...DO it and se where you get. This process is how prototypes and Frankenstein motors came to be.

Tenk, we are all friends due to these lovely sedans. By him NOT offering to sell this head would be an abomination to the sedan community. Plus, have you seen that head? Anyone not purchasing this head after seeing with the intent to buy would be absurd.  Shocked
Had to break out the proper English for you lol.
