How to make a rear lower bar.

This is my first write up so its gonna be ruff Laughing

well i was bored and decided to make something and after thinking of what to make with limited sources a rear lower bar was born.there is a lot of ways to make this these are some of the steps i took.

tools needed: (this is what i have you may have diffrent hings)
sawzall
grinder
drill
welder
tape measurer
beer
wratchet 14mm
jack & jackstands
metal

well first i measured the bolts on the lca they are about 26 inches apart give or take.i had some L or V shaped metal (cant remember the name) and some tubbing/bar. then i cut the L shaped metal in about 1 1/2 strips four times. two for the mounting and two for bracing the bar not really needed but i added it.then the two that are gonna be used for bracing i cut those in half. then i cut the bar at about 24 3/4 and mocked it up then welded it. beware that you have to weld the bar towards the top because theres some sort of a lip were the lca bolts up to the frame. then i welded the braces on the side and it made a box or a cubical but i really didnt like the look of it so i cut the braces so it made more of a triangular shape instead of a square.next i drilled the holes and grinded some of the welds and shaped the box a little for it to fit snug.this is were i stopped as it was plently strong as you could see this is what the bar looks like. then i gave it a few coats of paint

install:
heres where a youll need the jack & jackstands i didnt use jackstands as you could see in the pics but it should work the same. put your car on the stands the with the 14mm unbolt your lca bolts its just two bolts total. use the jack to support the lca as you unbolt the bolts. then slide your bar on the halfway torque the bolt so it berly treads so you could have room to work on the other side. repeat on the other side.after you unbolt then bolt the bolts back up the your lca your bar is instaled. it shouldnt be to hard but i had some minor issues with it i had to make my holes bigger and grind a little off so it could fit good.this is pretty much all that i did unless i forgot something or i for got to take pics. mine got a little abused durring the install but after i order my suspention parts ill re coat the bar.i still havent tested the bar yet cause my car is down at the moment but i might make another bar for my rear tower bar and then ill take her for a spin and see if they work.heres the bar from another angle

misc pics

use the beer sparingly because your working with some tools that will take off a finger trust me on this my finger is still swore. i know this isnt the best write up or the best grammar but it should help you guys in some sorta way. hope you like this diy i know i did if anyone has any Q's just ask away.

I have a sway bar for you Wink $20 plus shipping... its off a DA integra (90-91) with mounting brackets, but I would have to double check on the existence of bolts too
