How do you shift????

So I know its a no brainer as to how to shift.

But I would like to see if you guys have any tricks up your sleeves when it comes to clutch kicking and rev matching and what not lol. Its stupid im sure but might be fun for some to see how this is done. and for the ones who (GOD FORBID) don't know how to drive stick yet. So lets make this educational.

My video was of just a regular shift situation when someone actually pulled in front of me and I had to slow down because this person decided to stop at the red light -_-. I personally feather the clutch when I downshift, evens out the strain between the motor and the brakes. Hope you guys like and lets see some youtube/video links guys!!

I just drive normal lol. I rev match my downshifts sometimes. My tranny is pretty lame so I try to keep harsh driveline shock at bay. Sometimes I'm not perfect though lol.

My match is usually right there. Ive been driving aggressively on the streets for so long that it is second nature now haha

I always try to be smooth no matter what. When decelerating I usually clutch in if its more than a 5-10mph change, then put the car into the appropriate gear when speed evens out.

This is radically different than a friend of mine who wants to be a man-racer. No matter the situation, when decelerating he hits every gear on the way down, revs screaming and car bucking/jerking.

It is harsh enough that my girlfriend always asks me, "Why does 'friend' drive like that?!"

I always tell her that it makes your brain think that you are going faster and more adrenaline.

When I drive for MPG in mind, I tend to get up to speed relatively quickly and then barely pedal enough to maintain speed (or vacuum if the car has a gauge.)

In my dads car I put it in neutral when slowing down, then put it in the gear i think i should be in. Very Happy  That way it stays smooth and even!

This can sometimes ruin your synchros much quicker. Think of a spinning floor with you off of it. Then jump on it...FKS YOUR SHT UP right? lol case closed hahahh jk man but seriously when in that situation a rev match is the best option.
