AHAHA.
John is a popular name for sedan owners. .
~Sp33~

Remember Jonathoned3? I think that was his username, had the dark blue sedan with a crx dash.. I think it had a b16 and a jdm spoiler.

Similar user names just reminded me.

thanks guys...i was on club civic and didnt like having to go threw alot of other stuff to just find things on efs. this is my second ed3 i had a light blue dx and i also had a 94 ej2 but it just wasnt the same. this one is a 88 lx. i thought thought lx had power windows and ac. my 89 dx had ac... Confused
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Yours doesn't have power windows or ac?  I wonder if it's really a lx.  What are your plans for it?  Looks like your lowered it in the second pic.
JonnyED3

i just took some pics they will be up in a min...i just saw that my car does have an ac condesor but no on off switch. it also has the switch for power mirrors but they dont work. the driver side one has manual knob for it....it not lowered at all but i want to slam it. i have a set of del sol si wheels that need tires i plan on putting on it.
JonnyED3

PICTURES YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!only a few my camera died ill get more batteries to nite lol

in the garage full of snow Mad

cancer spot on driver side

cancer spot on passenger side

passenger fender... i got another one thats whit for 5bucks from a friends ill put it on when its not snowin and cold

interior

my plans are eaither a b18b1 or a d16z6
body work and paint it white or black...i like it simple lol
redo the interior to black with a crx dash

or i might rebuild the b2 swap on the mpfi and build that engine up...i realy dont know yet i just started lol let me know what you think again
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Well you definitely have a DX and not a LX.  The body doesn't seem to be in horrible condition considering its element.  If I was you, I would get the body straight and keep the factory color.  Changing the interior to black with a crx dash is a great idea.  D16Z6 or D15B (obd1) would be the motors I would choose to build.  You have a nice sedan to start from though, looking forward to your progress.
JonnyED3

the big ass snow pile the plow decided to leave right behind my garage door...ugh Evil or Very Mad

i really hate snow and its still snowing the news is sayin bout 6 more inches lol
JonnyED3

oh well its not like i need any of tha stuff anyway lol...im gonna look up its history cuz i also noticed that the passenger side door handles are painted red and the drivers side handles are black. plus the front bumper is black and the back is painted. WOW the things i didnt notice haha
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Yeah, I have a feeling the sedan may have been wrecked. Which is why the handles and rear bumper is painted and rebadged as a lx.
JonnyED3

well the car was never totaled and it is an lx. it was side swiped in a parking lot after being only 5 years old. and thats why the passenger door hits the fender. it was also in a rear end where it hit another car and the owner just went to the junk yard for a bumper. i have tons of papers on it and never thought to look at all of them  Rolling Eyes  Neutral . the power mirrirs and windows were replaced due to them not working by the last owner i bought it from. i am owner number 4. the frame is in awsome shape with no rust except in one spot and not bent or broken. so yeah its basically a DX. well any way it will get better in the time to come.
JDQCIVIC4DR

on congrats on the 88ef. welcome to the site

Trust me, you dont, it just rots your car because its like water thats even stickier and stays where you dont want it, ofton times with salt, thats why you see us mid-westerners with all the rust.

Ahh wisconsin, my old stomping grounds.....i want an 88 LX, but got a DX, it was $100 wasnt going to pass it up!! no accidents, less than 100k, but been sitting, and wouldnt start......

do the power locks work? did it ever have cruise?
hondacivicdx

Welcome Jon, where are you from reminds me of my home town
Chicago, how many feet do you have now.And yes Sp for living
in chi-town you don't want to be in the snow with your car that stuff  will rust your car pretty bad: This is one thing i know i lived in Chicago and ive see first hand what snow can do to a car. Jon you have a nice looking car After the swap what are you going to do with it?? Very Happy   Get the vin number and look it up or have the guys here do it for you,

im from the appleton area...menasha to be exact
JDQCIVIC4DR

yup snow kinda sucks if you have to deal with it.  gotta wait at least 20 mins to start up the car and wait for the ice to melt on the windows. plus the window sprayer sometimes are frozen wont spray. i drove my van for 3 hours in snow and witness my temp gauge go below the C. just like starting it before the temp needle goes up.

So it's an LX that's had the doors and mirrors converted to non power?  Has the front bumper ever been changed?
