Help me pick a shift knob

I know the choice is a matter of opinion, and one that is ultimately up to me...but its still nice getting some input.

Black interior, NRG wood steering wheel with black spokes will be installed as of tommorow....black 3" shifter extention also in the mail...so I want something that works great for on top shifting as well as pistol grip style. Dosnt need to be weighted as the extra length makes shifting like butter even without a knob on.

Im debating a Mugen dildo style.....I had a knockoff one on my second crx and kinda hated it...but I also had a short shifter, and it was a knockoff so it didnt line up correctly. I liked it aside from that though, and it had serious bling.

Also with the wood wheel ive thought about a wood one...I had a DIY wood ball one on my old civic and loved it....thinking my father in law does some impressive woodwork, I could have him make me a wood knob in the shape of the OEM civic one which I love the feel of, and the wood would look nice, and it would be one of a kind.

Theres always the type R style. I had an authentic one on my old civic at one point and it was the nicest shifting OEM knob ive ever used. I would never spend the money for a legit one again, but at 50 bucks the PWJDM seem nice, although I hate their logo on it. I noticed BLOX makes one now as well.

I DEMAND that whatever knob I get screws on...no universal knobs, which does limit me.

I like the SPOON diamondy looking one, but it is supposed to be super light weight, and id rather have some heft to it considering the price tag....anyone use done of these?

I could alays say F it and keep it stock Very Happy

Right now im leaning towards having my father in law make one....I know he will probably rip me on the price, but it would be a nice product. I could probly get a long stem on it to cover the gap the extension makes between the lknob and shift boot, which would be clean as hell.

I'm using a S2 shift knob. Pretty heavy, good throw weight as well. Just really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter.

I was using a S2000 shift knob which was great on the hand and had great weight to it.

Proper makes good bubble shift knobs they are around $40.

Keep the pics coming, helping a lot.

My father in law van make pretty much any wood shape id want, id probably opt for one similar to the stock knob.

Anybody ever put an old school T-handle shifter in their car? just curious! Very Happy
EF4lyf3

That's an automatic thing lol. Never on mine that's for sure. Im actually going to whittle my own shift knob and give it a nice oak finish! If not that then try the spoon shift knobs, Very nice feel and just all around awesome looking.
tenkaracole

i know automatics do that! Laughing just wondered if anyone had. and good idea with the hand whittled knob, thats a good way to stand out from the crowd! Very Happy
