Got a question about fuel sender/gas gauge.

So I know that our cars have a 11.9 gallon tank, or so i've heard. But from full to empty on my gauge I use about 8. Getting 32-37 mpg so it's not using extra gas. Just wondering if this is an issue.

I'd say its pretty good. You never want to leave your car fully fully empty. Maybe Honda understood that and made it so you won't run out even tho you think you will. I once went 60miles on the red Line of e till I ran out lol

I know you should never drain the tank I just feel that leaving almost 4 gallons in reserve seems silly. Or mabey the tank just isn't that big idk lol. Either way i'm full for 25$. My 87 mazda b2600 4x4 I sold to but my sedan ate 25$ in 100 miles or less. Barely 20 mpg. And that was on a good day. I got 37 last fill up. To me that's amazing. Cruise control ftw.

You have cruise control on your sedan? Is it an auto LX?

I have a LX and the cruise control on the freeway is very good, close to 40 MPG, pop it in 5th and it just sits at 2800 RPM's at 65 MPH. i put 5 gallons of premium in and get 180 miles in the summer and about 150 in the winter but i let it warm up longer.

maybe im off topic here sry

I also have an LX but cruise control option is a negative for me lol. I put a VTEC-E in it and she smashes, but I get about 275 a tank

Nope my lx is a five speed!  Wink Seems like what i'm noticing is the norm then. I get anywhere from 225 to 270 miles on 7 gallons. Never filled more than 7. Yo snafu, where you at in seattle? Nice to see some washington guys lol.

across the water in Bremerton, but about to move to Vancouver WA for a new job in about 5 months, but ya it is nice to see someone who cares about there sedan around here, see alot of smashed up oil burning CRX and EF's but none in the junk yards for parts how ever that work i dont know

My brother is over there for the military academy   lol. Yea most around here are owned by old folks.

funny you mention older people, i bought mine off a older couple who got it off the dealership in 90' was kinda surprised to find a single owner car that was 20+ years old

Mine has had quite a few it seems. If my pickup had sold a month earlier i'd had a lock on a full stock one. Two owners and full receipts since new. Kinda bummed but mine is nice. Pissed it needs work. Lol
cleanRENO90

My 90 EX 5 speed got 44 mpg on long trips in cruise control.

I just got 36 in mixed driving. Half highway, half commuting on country highways and city roads. I feel I could break 40 on cruise control on a long trip.
