fully built d with vtec or lsT on 10psi?

i havent figured out what i want to do with boost so i came down to two options. So this is what i came up with fully built d15b turbo or an b18 turbo on 10-12psi. What do you guys think moneys not a huge problm but reasonable? Thanks for any imput

if you're going to race hard go with the b18. if you want to be known for worlds fastest d15 turbo also easy to replace parts too.

X2. . . I like single cam turbo'ed cars.  .it is just different. . . Wink

its fun smashing on a dohc knowing that u only got a sohc. Wink

thats true knowning you didnt spend that much, using the motor it came with spanking dohc. easy to go back to stock dont have to worry about popping the hood. my bone stock d15 stock exhaust vs a bone stock DA 4dr i always win by half a car. damm i miss my ef cant drive it due to bad bushings.

hey thanks guys. i think i might just save up and go for the d mainly because its a singlecam. maybe someday ill go to a dual cam. thanks again

since you're from wisconsin are mugen parts cheaper since www.kingmotorsports.com are located there? btw single cam boosting kits are nice street legal this one comes with a BOV http://www.edelbrock.com/sportcompact_new/mc/turbo/turbo_perf.shtml, or the greddy hopefully they'll still make turbo kits since Japan Trust manufacture greddy parts filled bankruptcy. or try www.jacksonracing.com hes making a new superchanger Rotrex hopefully one for the D and B series.

Im not 100 % sure but i dont think mugen parts are any cheaper here. or at least the ones i want lol. speaking of SC how do they do for making power over a turbo? i havent seen much or thought about them.
Type-S EF

As far as SC i am getting Eaton's new 4 rotor currently used on the new Camry.  but thats once i get my F20, its got the 3 piece intake just like the H22, just gotta make a re-enforcing bracket to go to the back of the block, and an adapter plate.

Because its going on my 3 season DD and i want instantaious torque, no lag, i could boost off of idle.   Believe me, once i have it together, i will post dyno chart to show what it puts out, should be 350 to wheels, with 4wd power loss, least thats my goal.

Usually with superchargers designed for the D series, you'll be looking at around 150hp ATW from what i've seen.

supercharger have no lag but turbo vs supercharger will leave the turbo off the line and once the turbo spools up it'll catch up or pass it. my brother had the proto type jackson racing supercharger DPR ported on D16 single cam vtec it would beat GSX, GST, mustang, VW, fastest it hit was 13 in 100 plus degree weather this was back in 96 or 97. with turbo you can get more horse power just playing with the boost or tuning. supercharged less maintenance. turbo high maintenance gotta worry about oil and overheating etc. for daily use i would go supercharged.

ok  well it looks like supercharger wouldnt be a bad choice now that i have some numbers to look at. would i still have to build my motor for SC as much or no? since noone around here has one i might just go with this instead. thanks for all comments appreciated.

Worlds fastest/quickest turbo d that is daily driven and passes emissions on the regular is in a 92 hatch up here in Washington. d16z6 with stock sleeves, vitara pistons, stock ports on the head with cam and springs, ebay turbo. Very much a budget build to say the least. 10.48 @ 138mph. JFK78 is his screen name on some sites. www.speedfactoryracing.net  But there is always room for a 1.5 sedan. Hell mine went 13.95 on a stock bottom end and head N/A
