fuel pump doesn't shut off.... at allhey all just a quick question tryin to get my car to pass emissions but its gettin too much fuel when it idles. when i bought the car the kid told me he "had to run a jumper on the fuel pump relay to make it work" the fuel pump doesn't turn off when the car is on and not running and the car seems to run really really rich. i can smell the raw fuel in the exhaust when it is idling. where do i look for this fuel pump relay and/or go about fixing this issue cuz my car won't pass the idle portion of emissions and im willin to bet this is why. thx all

fuel relay is up above behind the dash near the hood latch release.

that wont cause it to be rich, i would check the vac line to the regulator, might have a torn diaphram.
