Flash Code 19

My engine light came on the other day. Checked my ECU for a flash code, and it is giving me code 19. Code 19 is Automatic Transmission Lockup Control Valve. I have no clue what that is or where it is or what it is that it is doing to trigger my engine light.

There is a diagram showing me what it is, but it doesn't tell me anything.

Is your car auto or 5 speed? Cuz my car gave me the same code back when I did auto to 5 speed swap. But I didn't bother me. Once I swap the ecu for a PR4 it never gave me that code. That same code will appear on my friends HB and his car came 5 speed from factory. it might just be a faulty resistance or little chip whatever they're called. On the ecu.

It's an auto.

Also, a couple more things to add:
The engine and the ECU doesn't match up. Engine belongs to a 92 model and the ECU belongs to an 88 model.

When it flashes it isn't giving me one long and nine short to equal 19 but giving me 19 short.

Not sure if that helps anyone at all.

It shouldnt matter (engine), but i would try to swap ecu.
Bertrand

I'll start looking around.
Know anyone with a P06 ECU?

Po6 are obd1 aren't they?
Bertrand

Yes they are.
I have a PM5 in it right now, which is OBD0
4dred6

So you re converting to obd1?
Bertrand

Won't I have to, if I get a new ECU?
4dred6

Yeah but which manifold you got (intake)
Bertrand

Not sure what you are asking. But here is a picture.
It is an old picture, then only thing that has really changed, is that it is cleaner than in this picture.
Bertrand

Also, it is a D15B7

Yeah that's why I ask. Cuz you got a d15b7 (92-95) civic. In order to run a po6 you'll need a coversion harness for the ecu because it won't plug and play. You'll also need to change the distributor with jumpers (jumpers are optional), 4 injector intake manifold,  resistor box if injector are obd0. Pretty much it. Don't know if the tranny sensors will work.  Everybody converts to obd1 cuz it has more tuning options that's why even obd2 to obd1
Bertrand

I'll start looking those parts up tomorrow at work.

You'll also need to convert from dual point fuel injection to multi point fuel injection (dpfi to mpfi)
Bertrand

Just add it to my To-Do list.
Within a month or so I will start putting in a whole new brake system. (Pads, Rotors, Caliper, etc.) Along with new axles and control arms and all that jazz. Just an entire fix on my front end. Then I will get started on everything you just listed.

Nice, I'm glad I helped
Bertrand

Still don't know what a Automatic Transmission Lockup Control Valve is Hahahahaha
Bertrand

Also, thank you
