Yea I shifted from 4th to 3rd, luckily it was a quick shift, but I realized before releasing the clutch that I fucked up and got it into 5th.  My car pulls real hard in 5th!  Feels good!

It's all because of the stupid short shifter, I hate the short shifters for Honda's, they make everything feel clunky, or atleast they do on linkage actuated trannys.  So yesterday I finally ordered a stock GSR dual bend shifter, and when it gets here, I will be picking up some ES bushings for it! Smile

yea i hear ya on the short shifter I have the same issue with my lil "type-r" short shifter (some knock off ebay shifter) i went all out with the ES bushings as well and I get the clunky feeling too. but im keeping my eye out locally for one! since you go the LS set up you dont have to shave yours! lucky!
Clipse

what do you mean?  What did you have to shave?

the GSR Shifter its wider at the bottom than a stock civic shifter. the part that the bushing goes into at the bottom of the shift lever. so in my case IIRC i have to remove i think its 2mm off one side and 8mm off the other side so that it will fit in the stock D-series shift linkage with the correct bushing

If you used the stock shift linkage from the original DA you got your Ls from I think the honda made them the same size 93 and beyond

heres what im talking about:

Oem Gsr shifter Vs Oem  Shifter

"You will notice that the handle is a little shorter/lower on the GSR and the shaft that connects to the shift linkage is a little longer than the stock civic shifter.

Measurements are as follows :

Knob to ball
Integra : 240mm
Civic: 252mm

Ball to Linkage
Integra: 55mm
Civic: 47mm

After doing the math, looks like a 20% reduction in throw using the stock GSR shifter compared to the civic shifter.

Now unfortunately this is not just a plug and play install. The GSR is wider at the shift linkage than the civic is. The Civic is exactly 25.4mm (1") wide, whereas the GSR is 35.4mm wide."

but like i said if you have the Ls linkage u should be fine but dont quote me on that LOL

haven't had the pleasure to use a gsr stock shifter, but I hear nothing but great things on em, and I HATE my so called short shifter that came with my car when I bought it (the 1st one)

I hear ya on that im starting to dislike mine cuz im seeming to get more and more mis-shifts at low speed driving lol  and also could be my center console (from a 93+ accord) is off centered so it rubs alot on my 1st - 2nd gear shifts if my leg is to far over... This weekend i will be starting my 99 accord center console to get rid of that issue lol
