Exhausts!

Wondering what kind of exhausts you guys are running and what is actually available for our cars.
I've been searching for a Fujitsubo Giken Legalis-R for the EF but can't really find anything.
I found this but i'm not sure if it's for our cars.

That is basically what I'm after though. Anyone have anything like this? Post up pics of your exhausts, custom or aftermarket bolt on!

I wanna see 'em  Cool

What about HKS, the system is for a hb But you can make it fit with
A bit of modification, i think Thermal R&D makes a bolt on for the sedan.

I have the HKS System.. Modified, it works with the sedan.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

The HKS is great.  Thermal made one (hard to find now) specific for the sedan.  But any exhaust you find that fits the hatch should fit our sedans as well.
89CivicSi

Hmm good to know
89civicracer

I know there were several that you can find for the HB, like Jon said, that you can modify for the sedan.

_1. 5Zigen
_2. Mugen
_3. HKS
_4. Thermal
_5. RS*R
_6. Hayame
_7. Invidia
_8. Greddy SP2
_9. Tanabe

These are just a few i have heard about.

The dips that sold me my car only had a del sol center section that didn't fit properly so I took it to the shop and they cut it just past the resonator and welded me a straight pipe. Sounds nice, but a tad loud. Is quiet when cruising though.
HondaJunkie

I would really like to see some pics of anyone extending the EF hatchback buddy club spec 2 exhaust.
jon_akers

I bought an ebay test pipe to extend for my bc spec 2. It will install just as easy as any other.

But I sold the sedan before installing it completely....still have the catback for future project.
89CivicSi

Soooo bout that catback Wink

Nice Jon do you have any pictures of it by chance uninstalled and how much did you have to extend it?
tenkaracole

From what i understand, they are extended less than a foot. It should come up 6 to 9 inches short i believe. Cool

Does anyone know if the aftermarket exhausts give more ground clearance? The stock exhaust on my 91 is pretty low and semi busted due to it scraping on everything.
tenkaracole

aftermarket i dont think so. But a custom one might! Cool

I had a Buddy Club full exhaust straight pipe 2 1/4. Made her purr with the silencer but once the silencer was removed she turned into a roaring lion. It was a little pricy but I didn't go wrong that's for sure.

i just picked up a tanabe hyper medallion for $50 (for the HB) , i am going to the muffler shop this weekend to have it put on
EF4lyf3

As of right now im very serious about going open header. I personally love the sound, especially when vtec kicks in  Very Happy  car
Jerseys_fyn3st

i have a magnaflow exhaust ran just like the oem way, i put anything on the line that it sounds better then anything i mean anything that was mentioned above
EF4lyf3

I actually had the magnaflow on my previous sedan. And YES I can attest to your statement. quiet when idle and driving normal but nice and throaty when you get on her!
Jerseys_fyn3st

its krazy good sound, heres a pic i got recently , i got my pan tucked more back so it never hits anything

urbsallday

Hah I got that same license plate frame Very Happy. So you can tuck the oil pan in for more clearance?
Jerseys_fyn3st

the exhaust pan i had it tucked more in so it wouldn't smack speed bumps, from the pic you can see its more in then usual. love it tho
tenkaracole

Whats the stock exhaust size? one and three quarters, two, Anybody know?
FlatTireRacer

2" is O.E.
tenkaracole
