Exhaust systems for are civics......

What are you guys using or buying? I know that the only one made for the four door is the HKS one but have any of you modify or custom made your own out of CRX or Hatchback?

I'm using a trust/greddy from rx7. Repiped n welded big differences on freeway compared to stock. But that chrome muffler with tip always gets me pulled over and yes I got it tested and passed decimal reader. My friends 88 4dr had a hks from da bolted on back in 1989 carmate special sales. Welding a muffler should cost about $50. New piping from cat back to muffler of ur choice cost about $150. If u buy the muffler from the shop new piping should be less then.$240 installed

what mods does one have to do to the cat-back systems meant for the crx or the hatchbacks to fit the sedan

Thermal R&D makes an exhaust system for the 4-door 1988-1991 Honda Civic Sedans, retails at about $576 (USD).
The part number is: #B104-C109

The straight section after the cat needs extened a bit, about a foot and a half if i remember correctly...and the very end of the exhaust, before the tip, or canister, whatever you ahve there, needs extened by about a foot. There both perfectly straight sections, very easy to convert it. And its easy to find cheap used crx exhausts Cool I got mine locally for about 60 bucks, and it works perfect Wink

So does it matter if the exhaust came off a sedan or coupe? Because I have a chance to pick up some exhaust from a coupe.

I'm running all stock with OEM replacement cat back and a junk yard muffler Sad

Hola, I know this thread is old but does anyone knows about oval piping? where can i get it? does any of you have used it? I want to tuck my exhaust system as much as possible. Smile

Thanx

I have a 90-93 integra exhaust on my 90 sedan and it worked great. I also have a JDM b18b in my car with a 90-91 civic cat and 94-96 gsr header. All I had to do was extend the piping on the cat about a foot and cut one hanger off and flip one of the other hangers around to get it to mount to the stock hangers on the EF sedan. It sounds nice I also used the same setup on my old hatchback with the same motor. My exhaust is the 90-93 integra Tanabe concept cat back.
