Engine just stoppedI Was driving home and I had only been driving about 2 miles down the road and my 1988 civic 1.5 sedan just spudered and stalled and when I crank it over nothing and if I push the gas pedal it back fires. I looked under the valve cover and I can see the valves moving when the engine is turned over. Any idea's. I tought at first the timming belt broke But it must of not.

Just because the timing belt hasnt broke doesnt mean i couldnt have jumped. Check you cam timing. Check for fire to the plugs. Check for codes...

Just happened to mine.. the rotor semi broke free... ended up eating the inside of the cap and bending the connection.
Took the dizzy out to spin it freely.. and it was clicking so I just decided to replace the whole thing.
All fixed car was down for one day.
