ED3 Sedan Manual Rack swap (need help veterans)

Hey guys, love your web site and have some trouble trying to decide wether or not i should swap in a manual rack to my sedan since its got another engine and the power steering is no longer compatible.
I went to the junk yard and bought a manual rack and cheked that its from an 87 hatch dx, my question is if it will fit in an 89 sedan, need to clarify this,

I am actually doing the same swap. But I bought a steering rack from a 91 civic si. You will have to find some way to make spacers to get it to fit with the subframe for a power steering rack, seeing how the non-power rack has a smaller diameter than a power rack. Or you will have to find a sub frame for a non-power rack.

i was told by two more guys i know that i will need a manual rack from an 88 and up to fit my 89 sedan, and that it would be a direct fit, just to have the mounting bushings for the rack

if your rack isnt bad cant you just plug the lines and roll with it? Or is it harder to turn than a manual rack is.....Wasnt too bad on my old integra as long as you are rolling Forum Index -> Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tires
