decided to repaint my side moldings

i just taped, and repainted them flat black. the original black was faded to a dull grey. lemme know what you think.

before

during paint

after

i'll try to get up some more soon.

They're not hard to remove, and it reduces the risk of overspray too. Smile
cleanRENO90

i completely overlooked removal.
EvanFullwood

the thing about removing them, is those clips that hold them on....the risk of breaking them is hell.......those little bastards are expensive

just hit the junk yard and get them Smile

instead of painting it you can recondition it with, i think mothers or meguiar not sure which one but comes out like new. doesnt leave white cloudy streaks. also works good on mud guards.
cleanRENO90

i'll have to get that for my mud guards.
EvanFullwood

use the mothers........you have to do it more than once, but after you do it a few times or so, it looks like new

tire shine works also...or so i found out thru experience ...mine were also faded cuz of the vegas sun and 20 years of oldness lol..i just sprayed the tire shine on the moldings about 2 times and after a couple washes and details they look hell JDM factory stock lol so u cold have tried that or you can hit the junk yard and get some more moldings ...oh yeah and also wen you hit the yarbe sure to get as many of those clips as you can cuz they are a bitch to remove somtimes without breaking them
