d15b vtec questions/insight

ok, so i'm thinkin about getting a d15b vtec in the next couple months cause i should have the money for one. now i know i gotta do mpfi and from what i been researching, i'm gonna have to go obd1 as well. from what i figure, since i'm getting a motor, i don't need all the mpfi or obd1 parts since the motor would have most of it already.

my main question is what is all that i need?

Wiring harness/engine harness/ecu..
and you can look up dpfi to mpfi wiring instructions online....
Check out www.rywire.com You can send them the D15 engine harness, and your obd0 engine harness, and get them to merge them, for v-tec and obd1....So when you goto put your motor in, it will all be plug and play, no splicing wires, or anything for you...
and you can get the obd0-obd1 jumper harness from them as well....
For the ecu, you can get a chipped/basemap obd1 vtec ecu from www.phearable.net.....
Both business' are verrrry good, and quite reputable.

I think thats all, i probably left something out.i always do, ha

oh yeah, i'd need a resistor box right?
EvanFullwood

negative....im pretty sure yo dont, ive never used one

hmm.. interesting. everytime i read about mpfi conversion they mention needing a resistor box.
Type-S EF

thats because your writeups wern't for obd1 injectors, accords and preludes still used peak and hold till obd2 and even some after.  But civics lost them in 92 and integra in 90, and went to saturated injectors, which are quieter too

Ahh ok, thanks man
