CS style lip for sedans

Anyone seen this lip on a sedan. The pic is pretty shitty on this site. http://www.dashzracing.com/88-89-...ont-bumper-lip-BLF-HC88CS-PU.html

I have been curious about this lip also. I would love to see one of these and a j's replica lip made to fit on a 90-91 bumper.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

Yes and it's dope.  Looks better on 88/89 though.
zacattack

Ya ya. 90-91 is where it's at.  Wink
urbsallday

How does it differ from the 90-91 bumper? Anyone got pics?
EF Sedan Enthusiast

The bumpers are slightly different.

Ohh and don't get me wrong, I like the 90/91 bumpers.  I've had both a 90 and a 91 in my day so  Wink

I seen those on eBay for 95 bucks

I was just joking. I like 88-89 also. Just wish they made a lip like this or the j's one for 90-91.

I don't know the exact differences but ya the overall shape differs as well as a few other thing.

Fuck it I'm just going to buy one and post pics! Thanks for input guys.
nanotech

I have one sitting in my bedroom right now  Laughing waiting on wheels to arrive and buy coilovers before i fit it though
zacattack

Sweet! Post pics for sure. I may just get one also
nanotech

Does that count? hahah, i'll take a pic of the test fit later.[/img]
urbsallday

Nano post pics as soon as that shits on! Also do you drive an 88-89 or a 90-91 because the site "says" it will fit both.
4dred6

^ he drives a 88-89. I might order one if it looks good on a 90-91.

Bought one a few months ago... haven't put it on yet

*me relating

Been wondering the same thing for awile. I may just buy one and see how it will fit
89 LX SOHC ZC

Here you go guys they need work to get them on the 88-89 they need to be trimmed in the grill opening and they are about an inch to long at the wheel opening.

Mine is held on with 5 screws in the grill opening and 3m tape and i've knocked the 3m tape loose more times then I want to count they hang really low.
4dred6

Looks great, but it wouldn't last on mine
89civicracer

So, the sides being a little longer means that it may work on a 90-91? hmmmm... now i have more questions.. hahaha!  Shocked
4dred6

So 90-91 bumpers are longer? I ask this cuz we tried to put my ef2 lip on
My friend s sedan yesterday and the lip was like 2in longer on the corners.
Also 90-91 bumper  Question

I wish I could help I think it might take more work to get it on the 90-91 around the grill opening and at the conture just before the wheel opening.

Thanks man.
urbsallday

Looks pretty good. Hopefully it's not too much if a pain for the 90-91 fitment.
89civicracer

I guess if i had a heat gun and this lip, i might be able to mold it and make it's contours fit?
nanotech

I test fitted mine yesterday. There is good news and bad.

The good:
it's got a very nice flat finish with no pitting or pores from poor casting, which is great to see on a cheap ebay lip. It's very VERY flexible and quite rubbery too. Which will be awesome for the low guys on here and the dudes who can't drive properly.

The bad:
came with four crappy cheap self tapping screws for fitting. No double sided tape or any other screws etc. Fit quality is average, it's not terrible and I guess you could slap it on and be cool with it (I prob will) , but for the guys with clean cars with mint paint who want a good fitting product... there may be some diy required. The front section that goes over the stock bumpers lower mouth opening is a little too long by about 5-10mm and could do with some minor dremel work and I'm not 100% on the corner fitment.

All in all, for $180AUD shipped to Australia from China or where ever, it's pretty good. If you want a cheap lip and don't mind a bit of diy it's perfect. If you want something that fits A1 with all the fitting hardware required, I suggest you look elsewhere.

I'm leaning to just slapping it on tomorrow or something. I'll upload photo's when it's on.

Thanks for the update. Sad they don't provide proper equipment to fit it. Keep us posted

Please do try.

Someone needs to. I don't want to be the first  Laughing
89civicracer

Spending close to $100 for something that might or might not work does not sit well with me, unless i have $100 to burn..  And we know how often that happens.. hahaha!  Confused   Especially since i have not seen a paycheck since January.... Tough times.. Sad
zacattack

I am right there with you man. I'm gonna try to sell some random parts and gather up enough to get one so if it doesn't fit right it won't feel like I wasted hard earned money I guess. Lol. But I sure hope I can make it look decent. I love that style.
nanotech

any pics of these on a 91 facelift model?
zacattack
