Brand new sedan owner!

Hey guys! My name is justin and I am the proud owner of a  91 dx. I picked her up for 1830 bucks yesterday. Its navy blue with the black/grey interior. Power windows, mirrors, locks, and cruise control all work. Came with a d15 with 30k rebuild with receipts and an si tranny. Has tokico blues as well and a six pick clutch.  Even has a aftermarket alarm and door locker. Over 5200 in maintainence receipts from as far back as 01. Does have a crack in the windshield, paints faded, vw jetta wheels and an exhaust that only makes it as far as the passenger rear and kindof just hangs. Also has a clicking from a cv joint. But its a damn clean ride. Runs amazingly healthy despite simple fixes. Can't wait to join the community. Much love. Jman..

Oh and the chassis has 257k and all four mud flaps Wink

So I got curious and peeled and found eibach pro kit lowering springs. Boy am I happy. It handles so nice Very Happy

I'll get the go pro out tomorrow and do a walk around Wink. I'm in love with her already.

So true. Something about just drew me in. I adore the looks but i'd love some fat fives.. I posted a wanted to cl for a stock da teg axel back. Should be cheap to have  it modded to fit. I hate the droney ricey sound of the straight pipe. I like my hondas classy. Hence sedan love! I hope some gopro goodness will sate your appetite for fresh meat Wink. All I really want for her is the rear window and trunk kid spoilers and window shades. That and fat fives. God knows i've wanted an ef  Wink

Welcome!  You have a rare color combo on your hands.  Also, if it has all of those power options, you may be looking at a LX or EX, unless they were installed by the previous owner.  Looking forward to pix and vid.

My good sir it is an lx. I can't believe I derped so bad. Will have a video made today. Don't know if i'll get it uploaded though. What makes the color combo rare? I'd be interested in things like that. I'm going to take a trip to the wrecking yard and see what I can find for her. An exhaust hopefully. Will let you guys know Wink

Had these on my phone. Video will be tomorrow. Didn't wanna leave you hangin

Thank you! It does need work but everyday I wake up I feel like a kid on christmas. I have more than enough questions and comments and I hope to join the sedan squad. This is my new and only car so you'll be seeing it grow an evolve here Smile
4dred6

That's nice, car looks awesome

Any plans after the exhaust?
jmanwantsboost

Yea! I need a new windshield and a drivers side cv. Also my windshield  squirters don't work. The pump runs but nothing comes out. Meh easy stuff I think.
4dred6

maybe dirt on the lines
jmanwantsboost

Well i got them to work after one of the ricey led squirters disintegrated on me. And my exhaust is too short before the first 90 degree angle. So I need squirters and exhaust work oh joy. But little things I can do Smile
jmanwantsboost

So I picked up a color matching set of squirters for 5 bucks at the wreckers. Got some new pedal pads for free. But the exhaust work was quoted at 100 bucks and I can't afford it. I wish I had a full stock catback. :/
EF Sedan Enthusiast

I wonder if your ext color is stock. It doesn't look right but then again it could be the cell phone shots.

I'm sure its stock. I saw a color on the web link in the ef colors chart that looked like it. The engine bay is matching too. Or mabey its aftermarket Smile. Its faded anyways lol. Oh I put the wiper squirters in and they still don't work fuuuuuuuuuu. I'll figure this out! The exhaust is very bad and needs replacement. If anyone on here has a stock cat back in my area I have a little cash to spare Wink

I've been fighting a problem with my squirters as of now only the drivers side works and it barly works.

Glorious lol. Suppose we need a new pump and replumb the lines. Rainy here so not a big deal. Took a video with the gopro today. Hope you like it.

Yeah I dont use them very often so its not that big a deal they just make a mess anyway. Your car looks pretty clean.

Thank you Smile although I don't feel i'm getting the mpgs I want. Needs a tune up and lighter synthetic oil. Heard the o2 sensor can be an issue.
HondaJunkie

Thats a pretty nice sedan man mine looks pretty identical to bad you werent local everyone around here has poop brown sedans. Want to sell your black carpet to me haha?
jmanwantsboost

Thanks junkie! I don't have black carpets though I think it was swapped. All the doorcards have manual window holes. And i'm risky getting the mpgs I want. But my gas gauge is iffy. I'd like to fix that. It goes to empty in about 7.5 gallons.

Me too. Trying to stay active and contribute. Lol. Just general maintained for now. Get it to where I feel comfortable. I get tripped by every little noise or vibration.

Thanks! It runs very nice at 34 mpg. That's the best i've ever got and includes mobbing the canyon. Needs a driver cv bad. Clunks pretty good on full lock.
HondaJunkie

Hopefully soon ill be pulling the motor from my crx si parts car if you pay shipping ill give you the axels for free I dont need them not sure if they are the same though?

Honda junkie I will find out because that is an offer I can't refuse! Also another new plan is an exedy oem organic clutch. The 92 hp certainly doesn't need a needlessly aggressive six puck clutch. And a new clutch cable as well. My clutch bites the bag.
HondaJunkie

Yea you might look into just a stage 2 they are still around the same price as a stage 1 and can handle about 100 more hp if you decide to upgrade at some point. I also have a clutch cable from my crx if you need it to. I just took the head off yesterday so ill try and get the cable out today axels might get done today to.

I will ask around and see if those parts are compatible.  Yea but id want a full face sprung clutch. Idk what's in my bell housing now but i'm not sure I like it. I drive in seattle a lot so I need a clutch that can handle any future power upgraded while being easy to drive.
EF4lyf3

From your video i see we have the exact same radio lol. Mine took a crap on me and fried my cig lighter and clock, oh and my side markers and turn signals no longer work either. Welcome to the site, there is alot to be learned here and great people to meet. Enjoy the community and your sedan.
jmanwantsboost

Oh joy of joys.. I knew it sucked. That's a damn shame about your car getting zapped.
EF4lyf3

Makes my eyes rain! lol. I guess all i can do is get under the hood and figure out this big problem. I just sucks bad dealing with this crap.
jmanwantsboost

I feel it! I bought my car with a good clutch but when they replaced it they didn't replace the throwout bearing and they let my axel go as well. so i just got it and i gotta tear into it :/
EF4lyf3

I think certain people are meant for these cars. Everyone i know of that has gotten there EF had to fix something no matter what. I believe that is what makes us aside from other honda owners. We love our sedans/EFs in general no matter what. True EF owners seem to be alot nicer than other honda owners, and there is a sence of pride in our sedans. If you sell it and buy an EG or EK or whatever those other cars are lol, then your just not a real sedan owner plain and simple. Rolling Eyes
jmanwantsboost

Two nights in a row i've had this dream I sell my car
But then I start freaking out because I realize I made a huge mistake. Even getting an 8th gen made me sad. I really do love my car and I couldn't agree more.
HondaJunkie

Jman I sent you a pm about the shipping info if you still needed those parts.
jmanwantsboost

Sure do Wink you've been Pm'd
