ac dash delete

well since everything is deleted in engine bay, I wanna know what behind the dash I can remove, someone said theres stuff behind the glove box that I don need but what lol?? I wanna keep heater stuff tho, as it does get cold as shit and windows like to fog up with heater on.
EF4lyf3

the whole ac assembly is behind the glove box. heater is behind the radio. you will know when you see a hose with coolant in it.
89CivicSi

lol ya but someone was sayi that the ac and heater run usin the same blower? I just wanna place to tuck my bay fuse block and some other accessories lol
EF4lyf3

hmmm. I think they do actually. I will look at mine today and give you a verdict cool?
89CivicSi

ya, cuz I wanna keep the heater just don't care for installin all new ac shit
jon_akers

Can I have all your ac stuff?
HondaJunkie

I have an a/c delete kit under my dash on my sedan I can grab you pictures tommarow.
89CivicSi

Ok an where did u get it? An Jon all I have left of ac stuff is what's behind the dash which I think is just the evap box.
~Sp33~

You can gut the evap box but leave the the plastic container that houses it. That way you can still use your heater/ventilation as per normal, it just doesn't pass through the evaporator. It doesn't weigh much though. Maybe 500-800grams?
jon_akers

I have all that, I don't have any lines etc.
89CivicSi

lol neither do I, haven't for atleast 2 years. an thanks ~Sp33~ might have to look into that, the whole reason tho is to give a lil room to tuck the fuse panel from the bay up under the dash more.
jon_akers

The STD hatch that I am working on had ac switches and shit, i will look through what I pulled out and see if I can find the ductwork that got removed.
HondaJunkie

I don't know where it was bought or found it came done when I bought the car. I want to say it's from a ef dx model but im not positive pictures here in the next hour.
89CivicSi

mine had ac and its a dx chassis as well, im gonna go look around Monday and see if I can come up on one or 2 lol, if not il make one from plexi glass and plastic resin glue since I have a few sheets layin around
HondaJunkie

I ment the dx model of hatchbacks those didn't come with a/c if im correct but here are those pictures I promised.

DX ef hatch did came with AC
The STD 4 speed model did not.
Or Some HF CRXs
My friend has a 91 sedan (new mex 4dr)
And his car didn't came with AC or PS
91 dx
89CivicSi

thanks, and u just let ur fuse panel lay there?
HondaJunkie

It's from a model with no a/c then whichever that may be. Yea the fusebox is fine you still want your tuck to be easily accessible but the carpet covers everything for the most part.
