Androctonus

Just won these in ebay! Cool
del_soul

I want to say the fitting from stockinteriors is not good.
Androctonus

i have heard different though,  but i'm allways a bit skeptic about things like this.
Androctonus

Just bought myself a brand new Golf3 VR6 lip, and today i'm going to spend some money again! Smile

Should i start a project thread? or do i have to wait for the squad membership thing?  Laughing
~Sp33~

No you don't have to wait. If it's easier i can just move this thread into the project logs section?
Androctonus

Somebody who wants to move my thread?  Very Happy
~Sp33~

Is that a yes?
Androctonus

sure dude! Very Happy
~Sp33~

It's now in Project Logs. You should change your title so it's more appropriate to your build now too Smile
Androctonus

Thanx dude! Cool
Androctonus

First post updated (ICE) Smile
Androctonus

Got some parts mounted today, and for those who wants to se, here are some pictures Wink

Have to adjust the front a little bit, but when i wake up to morrow, it will be even a bit lower! Smile
Proper282

Holy bad camber batman! Looks good, but the camber in the rear is a little too much for me. Hope you like buying tires. The camber on my TSX isn't nearly as bad and that thing eats tires like there is no tomorrow! Car is coming along nicely though
~Sp33~

Sounds like you need a toe adjustment. Camber doesn't destroy tyres.

+1 Wink
Androctonus

Hmm, i wonder if i would go for some 16x9 instead. Raise it a bit in the rear so it will be more flush. Only problem, its not so easy to get the wheels i want. Confused

A norwegian combany has a sale right now on Lenso BSX Black (bbs knock of wheels)
16x9 ET20

Proper282

Lol it doesn't eat the whole tire, just the inside edges. Bugs me that I have to replace tires when only the inside edge is worn
del_soul

looks good Very Happy
Androctonus

When the front is dropped a bit more, then it looks good.
I have to fix my front end, its out of place, looks really wierd!
There is some more things to go. Would really like to have some drop forks, and extended tophats, but i dont know if its possible to modify tophats to make it fit my k-sports?
~Sp33~

Proper282 wrote:

This is because your toe is bad... I've been running with almost 4*'s of camber in the front for over 2 years (same tyres!)and there is no sign of un even wear, because my toe is aligned.
Androctonus

These just arrived! Smile Awesome color and they are some really solid towhooks!
gotariceburner

car looks sick w/ the drop...sucks cause i love the look of neg. toe resulting in the slanted tire but it will kill the pocket w/ constanly having to replace tires! project is coming along great
Androctonus

3 new packages today. One from Nederland, one from japan and one from here in norway.

New headlights

And usdm corners and a extra amplyfier
Androctonus

Just bought a pair of Suspension Techniques Drop Forks from drastikchangez on honda-tech!
Androctonus

Up to the workshop and do some work Wink
My new headlights and corners are coming with me!
~Sp33~

I don't understand why you would want to get rid of those awesome single globe headlights.
Androctonus

Because i like the double globe better Smile
But, i need some brackets, i dont have the oem brackets...

Anyways, got the coilovers adjusted today tough, and got my front bumper of. I need a new one!!
Androctonus

Okay guys, to the summer i want some new wheels. I dont want to pay much for wheels since i allready have the OG's.
Some of the rims i'm considering:

XXR 513 - Black/Red 16x8 0 offset
www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=XXR&wheelmodel=513+%2D+Black%2FRed

XXR 002 - Red  16x8 0 offset
www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=XXR&wheelmodel=002+%2D+Red

könig Bbomb - Red 15x7.5 0 offset
www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=Bbomb+%2D+Red

And got a price on fender rolling. The dude is coming to where i live 18mars so he can do it then..
About 550 dollars for all 4 fenders, price is a bit stiff, but the dude know what he is doin. hmm, i have to do it at some point anyways Razz
Androctonus

Gotta love these, right? Cool

~Sp33~

Hell yeah  Cool
~Sp33~

Hey,

Just letting you know you're now EFSS member #247.
Androctonus

thank you! Very Happy was about asking when i got the nr Razz
Androctonus

So i got my drop forks mounted last night, but there is no big difference at all. maybe a 0.5inch lower and i did not adjust the coilovers.
Buuuut.. A little bird told me i have to take the car out on a little spin before i could see any big difference.
But the weather is out of control these days, snows, rains, ice, and what not so i cant drive my car before the roads are "dry".

And my internet at home is gone, maybe i'll have it back today or atleast some time this week.

But hey, my suspension work is almost done!
And, the drop forks got really expansive Shocked  350dollars for the forks, 140 dollars in custom fees and taxes, DAMN! thats amlost the half of what i paid for my k-sport coilovers!
~Sp33~

My shock also sat a lot lower in the fork too than the stock forks, So the drop was closer to ~2.5"s for me.

Just be careful that it doesn't sit too low in the fork or it'll hit your driveshafts.

The shocks/coilovers are sitting on the forks, so the word "drop forks" should explain it Wink  anyways, the drop forks are about 1.5" lower than the OEM forks.

But, yet again i was out shopping, now my stereo is finnaly complete! only thing left is to mount it up!

New stuff:
Alpine CDE-9880R

Ground Zero wire kit GZPK35
Androctonus

Got myself a NRG harness-bar today, traded my password jdm power chamber intake and a old pioneer headunit for it Smile

For those who dont know what a harnessbar is:

liljoey

all that stuff looks good cant wait to see it in the car.do u still have bad weather?want to see pics of it on the road
Icarus

nice! come right with the lights?
Androctonus

Sooooh, i need to roll my fenders, get 185/45 tyres, and a allignment job done :p Nice update, huh?

And this is why:

Anyone wants to see more?  Razz

My middle finger goes just under the mud-guards  Razz
cleanRENO90

here's my old one. 2 inches clearance from the ground, to the pinch weld Cool
Androctonus

about 3 inches clareance from the pinchweld, if i go any lower now either the roads will kill the underside of the car, or the wheels destroind my fender  Razz
If i had some other wheels i could have gone lower, but the car sits right about perfect now Very Happy
cleanRENO90

i had to roll my fenders front, and rear. i had 205/50/15's up front. wayy too much tire.
Icarus

thats a lot of negative camber Neutral
Androctonus

Icarus wrote:

No, its not Razz  want to se alot of negative camber? Go look at those VIP style car wich are slammed. alot of those people are runnin up to -25 degrees of negative camber to get it low as possible.

Androctonus

I'm still in look for new bumpers, and some brackets for my headllights, when this is done, the car is done till the summer, and then its getting painted, flat army green is the idea! Smile
Androctonus

So my soundsystem is almost there, and this is the results Smile

Lower? do you know what roads my car have to suffer? I have right under 2 inch of clearance! my exhaust is scraping when i'm driving normal Razz
And yeah, i'm selling of my OG's this summer, to get some 9x16 combined with 195/40 Wink so there will be enough strech.
Take a look at Reznunt's car, something like that, but different wheels Smile

mine exhaust is scraping to @ a normal road Razz
but i fixed my exhaust 1 1/2 - 2" higher than stock  Cool

BBS?
whoa its len 2

Try hose clamps around the exhaust hangers. It raised my piping just enough to clear the speedbumps in my neighborhood.  Wink
Androctonus

I'll find something out, im going to raise it a bit when i get 16x9's Smile
imagewheels.co.uk is the place i get my new wheels, they custom make wheels.
mitsubishiv5

What i used to raise my exhaust is nylon roap. The nylon sort of acts like a hanger cause itll stretch if needed but its not super harsh to the point where it makes your exhaust vibrate alot.

Only solution after you raise the stock exhaust is to change it out and go to an exhaust shop and have it made custom. I had my exhaust 1 1/4 raised to sit flush with the frame, and it clears my shift linkage, smaller can and flanges welded. Came out pretty good and prevents unwanted attention Wink

But if you upgrade to 16's, there wont be any need to get any exhaust work done. 16's actually raise up your car even though the rims sit flush. The way your car sits now, will automatically flush tire, but your UCA and rear tire wills will hit the wheel well. just some helpful advice, hope you look into this

Thanx for usefull advice! Smile
I will upgrade to 16's this summer i hope, either its 16x9 or 8, or both (9 rear 8 front) . And thats the biggest reason i will go with that dimention, cuz it will sit more flush with the fenders.

The car is a pain in the ass to drive as it is now, i got yellow and white stripes under the car Laughing And it looks like my rear coilovers are broken Confused i will post a video of that later.
~Sp33~

Wont the heat of the exhaust melt the nylon?
TheEFsedanKid

where do you get the drop forks?
Androctonus

TheEFsedanKid wrote:

If you got money, this is the man to contact!
Fits both EF civics and DA integras
http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2700332
He has one set left!
Androctonus

There is long time since last update, but i have been doin some things on my stereo, got myself a new woofer wich is going in a Bandpass box, and i hope this comes to an end. I really dont want to spend a shitload of money on the stereo (i have allready blew my budget).

Did some fun things with my hood today, did take the far left part of the hood and sanded it down Smile
Some lazy ass mobile pictures Laughing

And did some pinstriping on my wheels, plus i got me some lugnuts. The pinstriping is fooked on that picture, but it has been re-done.

And i got my PWJDM Towhook installed. I'll fix a picture of that later on.
~Sp33~

Why............ Would you do that.
Androctonus

Because the hood is damaged (full of small dents), and iam getting a new one. so thats why Wink
cleanRENO90

i think he was referring to the pinstripe?
Androctonus

maybe? but if so, i agree :p i am not really sure if i like it or not, but its not a hard job to take them off. And i have just done the one side yet.
Androctonus

Ok, i'll bomb with some more pictures Smile

Naah, the hood has not rusted yet!

EF Sedan Enthusiast

sedan's looking good but you're in desperate need of that metal filler piece  Shocked
Androctonus

I have it, but just laying around :p
EF Sedan Enthusiast

then slap that bish on Razz
Androctonus

And its done Wink
Just for a little time, i remember why i did take it of, the front bumper is a mess, and it shows when the filler is on :p
mitsubishiv5

~Sp33~ wrote:

well it could be possible but on some parts of the exhaust like the muffler and pipe backwards from the cat dont get super hot. so its ok to run the nylon.

Been running the nylon up in the front for a good while now, hasnt melted, but it is getting scraped down Sad, really shitty design if you think about it. Idont really understand why they decided to produce a rubber and solid hangers that sits lower than the piping. Same for DA's too, they get scraped away by going over speedbumps.
Androctonus

Just some random pictures with my new camera! Wink
Got myself a Canon EOS 500D, big upgrade from my old 350D :p

EF Sedan Enthusiast

lovin it
Androctonus

Had a little photoshoot yesterday.

And had a mini update today Smile
Removed the stock licence plate holder, mounted my lip (not perfect fit tough) and mounted my fog lights.
89 LX SOHC ZC

Lookin good.
EF Sedan Enthusiast

The lip is a nice addition but not feeling the fog lights.  You might want to look into flush mounting the fogs into your bumper.  Don't get me wrong, it's looking great.
Sancho

What is that lip off of? I would love to get something like that. I think the foglights look okay, but they just look a little bit off.
Androctonus

I think the foglights sit okay in there, but the front bumper is so damaged after 19 year of cold winters, so it has lost its form/shape and thats why they look a bit off Smile I want to get them flush mounted, but that will be i in the 88-89 bumpers i'm getting.

Its a VW Golf 3 GTi/VR6 lip, you get these lips hellacheap at ebay Wink
~Sp33~

Nice.
reznunt

mean stance!
Androctonus

Not to much to update really Smile Learning som new photo techniques and got a roofrack and almost done trunk!
Thinking of new wheels all the time, not really sure anymore what im going for or what i can afford. Need to adjust some toe, cuz its eating my tyres like Ken block practicing gymkhana. And need some new bushes and a new set of LCA's.
Also found out the front camber arms adjust themselves. And the car is acting different everytime i drive it, getting a bit frustrated really. Eventough its really stiff, its acting like boat sometimes Confused

I need some advice on what to do..

Pictures. (no photoshop editing on these!)

mitsubishiv5

not feeling those foglights
